Apparently she's leaving XFM to "concentrate on her tv work" and will not return after her holiday.
Sounds odd. You would have thought they would have given her a proper send off, every interview i've read with her she's said "xfm is her life" blah blah blah.

She's always banging on about how much she loves working at XFM. Every single interview, recent ones include The Observer last month and the Radio Times the month before that.
Maybe everyone's turned against her since the NME Awards. I can't believe everyone at the NME was pretending that it went well. On the free backstage DVd given out with the NME a couple of weeks ago, Lauren is shown saying how she thought it went very well and Conor McNicholas even goes as far as saying that Lauren is probably the best presenter the NME Awards have ever had.
LIARS. For anyone who didn't see the NME Awards, it was practically unwatchable due to all the humourless indie cunts in the crowd refusing to laugh at any of Lauren's jokes, and Lauren knowing fine well that the situation wasn't going to improve.
The girl just needs to reunite Kenickie. That's what the people want.

I doubt it's anything to do with the NME Awards. It's the same every year, from what i'm aware most of the shows budget goes on the free bar. Russell Brand got heckled throughout last years ceremony and people threw things at him and its not like his career has lost any pace (as overexposed as he is).
I understand she was pissed off with the sexist attitude of some of the producers at XFM though, something along the lines of "I worked with one guy for three years and he never referred to me by my first name only darling".
I expect Radio 2 have been courting her.

I've love if Laverne went to Radio 2!
Radio 2 is slowly becoming more trendy, and I reckon she'd be right at home there. It's less pretentious than XFM which it's shitty indie music and it's strict rules (Adam and Joe had to wait weeks for the head of XFM to clear one jingle that Joe had made for their show)
Plus if she was on Radio 2, we'd get Laverne and alright music. Everyone wins!

The girl just needs to reunite Kenickie. That's what the people want. Heh. If that ever happened, I'd die of happiness. I was such a Kenickie fanboy in my teens. LIARS. For anyone who didn't see the NME Awards, it was practically unwatchable due to all the humourless indie cunts in the crowd refusing to laugh at any of Lauren's jokes, and Lauren knowing fine well that the situation wasn't going to improve. If I'm thinking of the right show, I saw about three minutes of it - enough to see the opening, and for Kasabian to introduce a song with "NME Awards? Eh? FUCK!" or something to that effect, and I figured that if the whole evening was going to be all mama weer all wackee now in that manner, I'd be better off reading a book.

How much would I have to pay her to follow me around at all times singing 'Don't Falter'?

How much would I have to pay her to follow me around at all times singing 'Don't Falter'? Would you want her to wear the Checkout Costume, like in the video? It'd cost you more but it'd be a good investment.
