I think I'm now officially old as have started listening to Radio 2 in order to enjoy the ramblings of Mark Radcliffe once again. Takes me back to uni heydays of their ill feted breakfast show and then afternoon's full of Shire Horses and bobbins - was great! This time he's paired up with Stuart Maconie and last night's show focused on the tenth anniversary of Jeff Buckley's death. It's a lovely way to spend a few hours and if you're looking for a way to avoid BB this might be it - especially as it seems like all the decent programmes are coming to an end.

Biddeley-biddeley bong.
Was the Mark and Lard afternoon show the last decent show on Radio 1. Probably.

Carry on!
(Sorry.)
I really miss Mark and Lard. Radio 1 weren't even trying to be exciting or interesting when they replaced them with Colin and Edith. It's like bulldozing Disney World to build a retirement village. What's Lard doing these days?

Lard's on 6music playing some nice songs in the evenings. I quite like to listen again now and then. I remember how sad I was after the last Mark and Lard show on radio 1.

I was nearly on "Chalk or Cheese" until the producer woman on the phone found out I was 15 and home alone for the day, and since they needed permission from a parent since I was under 16 I couldn't do the quiz... useless, yet true. Mark & Lard never failed to crack me up, Radio 1 just went ultra bland when they jumped/were pushed.

Colin and Edith replacing Mark and Lard was one of the most evil and twisted things ever to have happened in the world. Perhaps.
