Since everyone is going to bed with YouTube at t'mo, we might as well post the good stuff that might apeal to the discerning low culture eye. I've just been sent this M&Ms advert, starring Will & Grace's Karen: And how about Kylie playing (Kath &...) Kim's daughter: Any more?

That Karen Walker ad is fantastic. It should be used in the UK. It's so cabaret and fabulous.
I think Gina Riley is a star in that K&K clip.

Oh gosh, I've got dozens of YouTube's crap goodies bookmarked. The ones I can find in my recent favourites: Adam Rickett - I Breathe Again Those silly Popworld kids dancing: Gay Pimp - Soccor Practise (dance parody, not pr0n!) Sweet - short Mighty Boosh spin-off film Family Ness theme tune

The bf saw "Karen" doing How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying with Matthew Broderick on Broadway - she has some proper stage lungs (that's not a reference to the size of her tits).

Megan Mullally has an amazing singing voice; she had a big band influenced album out a few years ago and really showed off her powerful voice.

Were Thistle Whistles widely available to buy?

I was mildly obsessed with that video when I was younger. To this day I maintain Adam Rickett made me gay. Well, that and my mother. If they made Thistle Whistles they passed me by. I'd kill for one! I would actually stone-cold murder someone for one.

Now you're talking. I love youtube! Most of these are retro (the real beauty of the internet) but all of them are definitely lowculture. The French & Saunders Abba parody Girls on Top The Golden Girls dance-off Mrs White from Clue (Madeline Kahn was so hot) Aunt Ida has a fit (from John Waters' Female Trouble) Bette Davis sings... badly Laverne & Shirley Sesame Street pinball/counting thing Electric Dreams Harold Bishop "drowns" An entire episode of Duckula

The Sesame Street pinball "TWELVE" thing nearly made me burst into tears. It was like being 3 again. Is Sesame Street still being shown on British TV? Please don't say that a generation is missing out on its simple joys?

They show a re-edited version on Playhouse Disney. It's called "Sesame Street UK" (oh-so-original it hurts) and is about half a normal episode of SS but intercut with two British puppets who sadly don't have the homoerotic subtext of Bert & Ernie.

It's brilliant that you know that.
I'll make sure never to stumble across it, since it sounds like my childhood being massacred.

Rock Hudson and Bea Arthur sing an old time style number about taking drugs!
Rock: 'Remember when Amyl Nitate was some guy's name!'

Ha! That's brilliant. "And now it's poppers and god knows what". Yeah, Rock knows what he's singing about.
