Bollocks did Corrie start with colour in 1975 as YouTube claims - it started in 1969! The first 'colour' episode was only half colour though.
As per our previous discussions of the changing set for the street itself - it really has changed a lot!
I don't remember those 1986 ones at all, but I remember the 82/89 version very well.

I'm pretty sure that the 1986 ones were used on a Special Occasion (ie the Rovers being on fire). I vaguely remember the end of the previous episode, with something smouldering in the cellar, and then being surprised the next time I saw it, when the opening titles were excitingly and confusingly different from how they had been always before (or what seemed like 'always' to me, what with me being 4 or 5 at the time).
I definitely remember there being birds in the 'new' titles. Which would suggest that this is what that was. No idea why they did it, though, but they're very nice. Sort of a cross between the beginning of Brookside and Jonathan Livingston Seagull. But with Salford. And pigeons. And nice.
They were only used for that episode/those episodes. I think.

Absolute bliss. But I am slightly worried that I have found time to sit and watch all of them.

Most people still had black and white television in those days so I don't suppose it really matters!
