My day off coincided with my mums, we ended up watching Go Toward The Light and learning how Mormon haemophiliac children deal with their AIDS, then Melissa Gilbert had her foetus ripped from her stomach and replcaed with one the kidnapper had hidden in a freezer so we HAD to watch that.
And then there was a bulimic gymnast wearing Hnnahrexic foundation to show how ILL she was, and now I am addicted. I'm actually on truemovies.com right now looking up delights for the weekend.
I CANNOT be the only person who is addicted to this shit? Please?

I haven't got true movies but i do have Movies 24 which is basically the same thing.
I shouldn't watch it, especially not all the films about dying babies/children but its some kind of compulsion and I can't help it.
Annoyingly the anorexia/bulimia ones make me want to eat and really I eat far too much as it is. They never have any really good diet tips either.

Oh my god the bulimic gymnast one, was it the one with Amy Jo Johnson aka Pink Ranger as the gymnast? I saw that when I was about 8 and it's stuck in my memory ever since

I saw that when I was about 8 and it's stuck in my memory ever since With the sadistic coach who makes them all weigh in in front of each other? Yes thats the one. I always wonder if they make them lose some weight from their already skinny frames to play these roles. The illusion of weight loss is not created by shading in to give hollow checks alone.... O and did anyone see the Karen Carpenter Story? Or Book of Days with the grieving life insurance salesman who ends up with a book detailing when everyones going to die? Classic.

OH MY GOD!!!!!! On Sunday they showed another of those Tv Movies that looks behind the scenes of TV shows and this time it was "The Charlies Angels True Story" Quite possibly the worst thing ever made, anywhere in the entire Universe - you have not lived until you see Homer Simpson do his impression of Aaron Spelling whilst the Telly Savalas had to be seen to be disbelieved. www.imdb.com/title/tt0383915/

It was fucking epic,wasn't it?
I'm down with Painful Secrets at the moment. And Fighting for Gemma, which ruined it by actually being quite moving. But Painful Secrets? That's some fly shit

My favourite True Movie is Miss America: Behind the Crown.
It's the shocking true story of one woman's triumph over domestic violence to become Miss America. To many great scenes to mention but the winner for me was the actual pageant itself where our heroine Caroline Sapp (playing herself, terribly) takes to the stage with a perm so massive I was fearing smaller beauty queens would be sucked into an orbit around her head.

I love True Movies! When I was in Gran Canaria last year it was the only English speaking channel that wasn't the news and we had a sleep and a film every afternoon. I particularly remember the one where the mum was an alcoholic poker addict and the dad came and took the baby from the dingy gambling hall. That channel ruined my chances of getting a tan - why go back to the pool with your hangover when you can watch a true movie?!!?
