The twist does sound like a mash up of various other twists they've had before. They really are running out of ideas...
But it sounds promising. Of all the gimmicks Big Brother have ever done, the divide in BB3 is, in my mind, the best. The problem first time round is that it went on for too long and was badly executed... They didn't really know what to do with it after the first week. Though a highlight for me was everyone but Tim being on the poor side...
It'll be interesting to see what they do this time round... Maybe HOH decides who is nominated... Hopefully HOH will decide who is on each side of the house (in order to emphasise/create a divide among the house). And they should keep it up for three or four weeks, changing the HOH (so housemates can get 'revenge' etc...). Maybe only the 'Hell' side can be nominated... Or maybe only the 'Heaven' side can nominate. Though I'd prefer it if the nominations were left untampered with...
Now Mario has gone Lisa is my new favourite. She should be made HOH and given a throne...
But they'll probably fuck it up and let Darnell and Mo be the HOH.
I hope Mikey gets kicked out for being a really scary, awful human being racist. As long as he's not replaced by someone more disabled than him...

Apparently Mikey just called Darnell the "Emily word". Twice. It'll be interesting to see if he gets the same response as she did. He didn't say the N word, once or twice. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b4Ao8IkG09A

According to the official website, it's between 3 housemates to be Head of House, following an open voting process by all housemates... Dale, Darnell & Luke. The winner is decided by secret vote tomorrow.

Rachel was pretty ace last night in her pwning of Lisa and Rex. Her 'sitting on the fence' is almost turning into an artform, much like the way she owned Bex and Jen when she confronted them a couple of weeks back. Oh and I think Darnell has won the HOH vote.

And Darnell has picked who will be in Heaven: Rex Mohamed Kat Dale Rachel Maysoon
No surprises there, then, but Lisa has already been threatening to put salt in Rex's food, as Hell have to cook all of the others' meals. I wonder how long this whole Head of House/Heaven and Hell thing will last. A couple of weeks would be good, before it gets dull. This series has been going well so far and actually - gasp - seems to have been planned well, unlike last year's travesty.

Darnell should have picked a few people who aren't in his alliance. Now his side will look smug, just because they were picked for the better side, probably be targeted for nominations by everyone on the hell side, and Dale will probably still nominate Mohammed and Rex.
I'll be surprised if BB doesn't try to use this to generate sympathy for the unbearable Luke and Mikey (Bex isn't as bad but I don't like her with Luke either). I had almost wanted to see Luke in charge because even the editing team couldn't have made him look better.
I'd hoped for better from Lisa. You shouldn't put something in someone else's food as a surprise. You don't know what they may or may not have a bad reaction to with a meal.

Darnell made a straightforward decision with the split- and in effect the housemates have swapped bedrooms, with the exception of Maysoon, who stays in the luxury bedroom. A straight forward switch, and a very sensible one.
There's no love lost with Mikey, Luke and Bex, who will nominate him regardless, and the only reason Darnell would have picked one to go into Heaven would be to split them up. And if he'd done that their bitter little minds would have gone into a frenzy trying to analyse which part of the Great Game Plan '08 he was trying to execute. Belinda, Stuart and Sara don't have a grudge to bear, as latecomers to the house they were all given the comfortable beds.
Dale is going to win. His odds have shortened from 25-1 a week ago, to 8-1 today.

I think he's pretty certain to final at least, unless he really fucks things up somehow - or BB does some sort of nominations twist.
If he does win though, I suspect the collective brains of the entire DigiSpy community would probably explode in mass incomprehension: "But he be stoopid!!! & he killed 15 people in the Spitgate mascara!1! WE WILL NEVA FORGET!! SEXY REXY TO WINNnnnnnnnn...." *poop*
(Incidently, Rex says he often goes through about 7 mobiles a month, as he sometimes just bins them rather than bother recharging them. Oh you really are too cool for skool, aren't you. Cock.)

Both Dale and Kat fit the pattern for the winners they've had over the last 3 or 4 years. I do wonder if Dale might eventually start to be seen as two-faced if he keeps hanging out with one group and yet nominating people in that group.
They seem to be more divided on Rex lately. People who love him or people who hate him. I think they'll probably have a meltdown if Luke wins, but Dale's handsome and generally pleasant enough to offset the full meltdown.
Paul, I think you're right about Darnell's choices making sense to him. I was thinking more about the perception of his actions. His choices would play right into an edit of the smug B-blockers against the quirky underdogs shunted to the poor side of the house. I'm not sure if the edit can happen as long as Luke keeps bitching, but it still doesn't do Darnell any favors.
Luke's spent so much time saying Darnell's a gameplayer, Darnell's in it for the money. Since Darnell's made a decision which won't do anything to help him win the money, I wonder whether Luke's going to find a new record to put on.
Belinda and Stuart (I'm not sure about Sara) seem to be the only ones who have taken the move in good spirit. I hope this will be reflected in the highlights.

He hasn't acted in a hateful way or born grudges, he's been straight forward and fair. As for the edit, the viewers have seen Luke and Mikey and Rebecca and Lisa bitching endlessly about the others with an attitude of absolute superiority and entitlement and the production team would really have a job on their hands to portay them as poor victims of Darnell's cruel actions.

Much as I usually dislike Rex, I did quite enjoy his complete misanthropy on today's HL show, especially when he was directing his hate at Mikey and Luke. And Rachel's "I don't think you're being very nice today, Rex" did make me laugh – that was strong stuff from her! The house split looks like it might be a wee bit rubbish, especially as the Heaven people are now relient on Lisa in Hell to do their cooking for them - so they can hardly lord it over the other half. I'm glad Dale didn't get house leader though, cos he would have only have ended up attracting hate from the people he had to be nasty to.

If that's an example of his oh so sophisticated "dry ironic humour" as some have said it is, then he's even more of a knob. I'm getting a bit fed up with all the self-pity from a lot of the housemates. Mohammed is a serial offender- I'm not including Spitgate, obviously, but he seems to have been playing the victim card since day one. The Divide doesn't sound too bad. I like the fact that basically the luxury bedrooms and the B Block room have swapped. I just hope it doesn't go on for weeks. I hate it when they drag tasks/twists out for ages.

I wouldn't mind Dale winning. He acted like a complete prick over Spitgate, but apart from that he's been generally straight-forward. Seeing him put a great big tick against his own name with a benign smile on his face, before seeing Darnell and Luke both vote for somebody else all "look at me and my amazing strategy/generosity!" because they're both equally full of shit only boosted him in my opinion.
Rex is a hateful twat. I loved how Big Brother made him look foolish when he was complaining about how boring the house was, by pointing out he's not exactly doing anything to make it a bundle of fun with his constant talking about himself and snidey comments.

It's a bit anybody's game at the moment, usually by now we can see a clear winner or two. Kat, Darnell or Dale could quite easily snatch it but are not in a position where they couldn't complety fuck it up too (especially Dale and Darnell).
I think even Lisa and Rachel might be good outside bets too, sort of under the radar but popular enough that given the right defining 'Big Brother Winner' moment to shine could take it.
The others barely stand a chance, it's only Rex I'm not sure about.

I've just realised I don't really want any of them to win.
What I like about Darnell is that he talks sense quite a lot of the time, but he's clearly desperate to win. He's started bringing out the X Factor sob stories and he pissed me off with his whole "Bex didn't get voted out so I must be unpopular" speeches. Bex was very lucky to be up against Mario, and has done more than enough to get herself voted out, but Darnell can sod off if he thinks she should have gone just because she doesn't fancy him.
Dale is good looking and not too bad a guy, but he's so gormless. Not that he's anywhere near as much of a twat as Anthony Hutton, but the last thing they need is another default bland pretty boy winner.
Kat is nice enough and funny enough, but again it seems almost as if she'd get it by default.
I don't think anyone else has much chance, and again I don't really want any of them to either.

I know Luke gets all the airtime and some people might be amused by his constant bitching or by his "journey" with Bex, or by the rampant self-righteousness about gameplaying from one of the fakest people in the house, but is this enough to make him one of the most popular? I know Mikey is blind but he just seems to bitch, expect people to give him special treatment (then when Rachel did help him, he went on about her behind her back), and behave oddly. The rest of the group isn't that bad, surely. Are these based on opinions from early on and the betters are reluctant to change them because they got last year's winner wrong? Or do Luke and Mikey just have a lot of fans?

l33t means "excellent/to the highest standard possible". It's an Internet gaming way of saying "elite" and I swear I was using it sarcastically. Probably. Honest.
WRT the market I think it's confused because, as people point out, there's no clear winner. The most visible people with storylines are the most obvious arseholes, the "sympathy vote" housemates have turned out to be unsympathetic, the most likeable housemate is a girl with a girl's vagina and no gimmick (so good luck winning there), the "online favourite" is deliberately trying to get voted out and is constantly threatening to walk, and the "Holy Fool" housemate is showing worrying signs of being clever and not that innocent.
It's no surprise that in such circumstances people are going for "safe bets" like the comedy housemate and the fit male.

Or do Luke and Mikey just have a lot of fans? I don't think either have a realistic chance. I agree with an earlier comparison with Luke to Nikki- I could be wrong, but I think she was second favourite to win at the point she was evicted against 10 other housemates. Maybe he's still seen as a sweet, innocent comedy geek to some people. He's also very camp, which seems to help on Big Brother if you're going to be bitchy. Regardless, I think Luke will be out next time he is up for eviction. Having a disability or some sort of an 'acceptance' story may help, but I'm not sure anyone can win on that alone. Pete had Tourette syndrome, but a lot of people bought into his 'zany' personality. Nadia wanted to be accepted as a woman, but she also provided many funny moments (showering in her high heels etc). Mikey is creepy and is really lecherous towards the women. People may feel guilty about nominating or evicting him, but I doubt he will get many votes to win either.
