Back in the 90s, when I was a young gay starting out, I felt very pressured into becoming a labels queen by those labels queens around me. I resisted for a long time, but then discovered the YSL section in Debenhams, and felt I'd found my spiritual home. I didn't buy many things, but what I did buy I treasured and loved. I still have my coat that I bought 10 years ago.
And that begs a question: when does an item of clothing become vintage?

And that begs a question: when does an item of clothing become vintage? Only once it's been in fashion, gone out of fashion and come back in again but only to be worn by the uber trendy fringes of society. The hottest item of the moment being Deirdre Barlow glasses circa 1975 (which are of course very YSL). Thank you Junky for being so concise with your thread title. It saves time not having to ad the post script of 'Nurse Dunkley' to it.
