All very annoying
Blackpool college (him babbling on whilst some retards prick about) The man on Eva Longoria's answer machine for Magnum lollies (He was worng and she was so right apparently) The Co-Op (something about ethical policies and carbon footprints) The unforgivable BT advert from years ago.
John, for shame on you. For shame.

...apparently a lot of adverts use impressionists.

I thought you couldn't use impressionists without putting some kind of disclaimer on the advert?

I don't understand what's going on here.

John Simm has been on an advert, and then someone who sounds like him has been on a few more and that he should be ashamed of himself for doing an advert for the college that taught him his trade. Am I close?

In a Radio Times interview a while ago (maybe last year when he was being The Master), John mentioned there was someone doing advert voice overs that sounded exactly like him and he was getting his legal people to look into it or something.

I thought you couldn't use impressionists without putting some kind of disclaimer on the advert? That's just reminded me of "not the real Village People" disclaimer in the Take A Break (or similar) ad!

Wow, what started out as a general moan about JS' apparently monopolisation of adverts has actually been rather informative. Who the hell decides they'd make a living by being a John Simm voice impersonator? Lookalikes I get and maybe being a voice impersonator for someone really famous but John Simm? The world is a strange place.

Apparently Richard Briers is the most impersonated person in th history of UK adverts.
