Haha, blimey. I wouldn't think that was possible - that's a hell of a lot of info some poor sod has to trawl through.
And in terms of copyright, hasn't *everyone* viewed something a bit dodgy?

Surely that would be breaking some kind of human rights privacy laws too? What makes the americans think they can nosey around not only their own citizens' business, but everybody else's in the world? Un-fucking-believable. Speaking of youtube, how long have we been able to do this on here? uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EzEZOFYHGLo

A slight digression on a related topic: Virgin seem to spying on their broadband customers, of which I am one. They are sending out warning letters to 'educate' people about file sharing. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7486743.stmThey're focussing on music at the moment, writing to people whose IP addresses the BPI have identified. As far as TV downloads are concerned, If they hadn't had a juvenile spat with Sky I their cable customers wouldn't have to download Lost and BSG now, would I they?

The guy in the video on the BBC article is a knob. Maybe he didn't download that Amy Winehouse track but surely he's downloaded music illegally at some point. Hasn't everyone?

Surely it would be more productive to track the people who are posting the copyrighted footage in the first place than the people who are viewing it?
Whatever; I'm getting cheese fries.

But it's just for a study! They just want to see how many people are viewing copyrighted material! And to see if it encourages them not to watch Viacom's exciting first-run programming! This totally isn't the start of a Big Brother Internet state! HONEST!

At least those of us who watched Criminal Justice this week know that if anyone steals our cigarettes, we should sit there and keep very quiet about it.

I haven't got sound just now so I can't watch the video - is the guy saying he got a letter detailing one specific track he's meant to have downloaded? They're actually sending out specified letters with specific tracks named on them?!
As if someone would ever only download one track.

I think they need to specify something. Also it was only people using peer-2-peer services I think. We got a letter from Virgin the same day and I thought it was going to be saying I'd been downloading a load of copyrighted pr0n. It was just the bill.
