Not sure about this one so far - I liked Mindy Kaling a lot in The Office and she's funny on Twitter, so I gave the pilot a go. It was pretty funny in places, and I like the idea of a sitcom that's all about affectionately skewering romcoms, but I can barely remember anything about any of the non-Mindy characters in it because they all seemed so vaguely-drawn. I liked it enough that I'm happy to give it a go for a couple more episodes (I watched episode three for work today and that seemed a lot more promising), but it definitely needs a bit of work, I think.

Let us know how it goes - too many shows are falling to shit after half a dozen episodes so I don't like to try new ones until I hear good things after half a season or so.

I really liked it - I mean, pilots are always a bit pilot-y, but it seemed to have potential. And an Asian leading lady in a US sitcom - indeed, in any Western TV - feels like a breakthrough.

"Hi, I'm Mindy Kaling. Due to budgetary restrictions at the Fox network, I had to record my theme song on my armpit."
