He still reminds me of a prepubescent growth of some sort and therefore he makes me cringe whenever appearing on telly. I want him to go next so I can stop feeling dirty for just watching him.

Tut, tut - this thread being on pg.2
Anyway, for all Fred-Fans, Zarrah nearly castrated him earlier this week. I saw a photo, too close.

I hope Zaraah can make it to the final. I don't think Susanne is as popular as people think she is, so hopefully she will go instead. Ideally, Gareth would go, i'm really not a fan.

Hooray! I'm glad Gareth went - I think the right three couples are in the final. It's a shame the voting public obviously haven't especially taken to Zaraah, because she really is very good. That final lift/swoopy thing she did tonight was breathtaking.

So Justin (sorry, Chris...) is going to win, clearly. Out of Suzanne and Zaraah I'm not sure who should come second - previously I would have said Suzanne but Zaraah was stunning tonight. But Suzanne will probably come second because the public don't seem to be massive fans of Zaraah. Hmm.

It's the DANCING ON ICE sweepstake!(aka the sweepstake we don't care about nearly as much as X Factor or Strictly, but it's going to get us through January February March, damn it.)

Chris is starting to look a bit like one of those Disney-drawn blond prince's. I don't like him but what a talented guy he is - my mouth was wide open watching him.
The reason I think Zaarah won't finish second is because Suzanne has been made into this princess figure, it's as if their fate was sealed week 1 anyway. Zaarah with a Z "isn't genuine enough" according to my sister, but I much preferred her routine to Shaw's as it flowed from start to finish. At least we have had Fred far longer this year.

I'll be satisfied with whoever wins since Gareth is gone, but the talk you hear about who has experience and therefore an unfair advantage becomes tedious. Not just the fans, but even some of the people who are on the show, like Jason Gardiner or Gareth, have brought this up. There's no rule against having previous skating experience, probably because DOI doesn't want to have a dozen people who flail around and cripple themselves. Unless the show suddenly changes their rules and strictly limits the amount of experience, then they're always going to have some people who have skated before or played ice hockey or whatever.

The cover of this week's TV Times is unfortunate. It says something to the effect of "Can Suzanne or Gareth stop Chris from skating to victory?" I bet they were all kicking themselves on Sunday night knowing what was in the process of flying off the presses...

Things of note (three days late, thanks to my crap internet connection at the moment: > Missed Torvill & Dean again. And Leona's first song, I'm guessing. > Ooh, very nice dress, Holly. > So, the show's an hour long and it takes us over 15 minutes to get to the first routine? At least Strictly have the sense to make them do two routines at this point. > I, along with several others, was completely baffled by Gareth's top. > 'Livin On A Prayer' doesn't scream "ice dancing" to me at the best of times. Ah well, at least it's better than last year's attempt to do a "wild west" themed week. > I don't want to imagine Gareth in the shower, thank you. > I liked how the audience managed to boo through Jason's complimentary comments to Gareth, stopped when he got to the insults, and then booed again. Stupid people. > Suzanne's float spin was gorgeous. > I was so happy with Zaraah's scores. A lovely performance, and her final spin was amazing. > I'm bored of seeing celebs going to salsa clubs on these programmes. > Chris Dean, do not do the "we're not worthy" gesture to Fountain. Plus, I still don't buy into the Chris-Frankie partnership as much as the others. > Only SEVEN DAYS to prepare a routine? Why were we not informed earlier?! > It was a shame that Philip had to mention how SURPRISING it was that Gareth was bottom of the leaderboard. Poor Zaraah. > Was Leona's first performance mimed as well? Maybe she couldn't warm up her vocal cords ON ICE. > I've really become more involved than I ever thought I would, as shown by my loud reaction to Zaraah beating Gareth: "Yes! Get in!" accompanied by air-punching. > Although marred by Michael Underwood going out after week 2, this is my best sweepstake result ever. She won't win, but her and Fred have been fantastic and lovely. The cover of this week's TV Times is unfortunate. It says something to the effect of "Can Suzanne or Gareth stop Chris from skating to victory?" I bet they were all kicking themselves on Sunday night knowing what was in the process of flying off the presses... I've just seen this. Terrible. Poor Zaraah, again.

How can flying be their "toughest challenge yet"? It's the one bit where they're not ON ICE.

Did anyone see Chris on T4 earlier today? They did lots of stupid games and then did this thing where Steve "accidentally" injured Chris' ankle. I still wasn't quite sure until this evening as to whether it was real or pretend. Suzanne flying around the room was kind of magical- she was just flinging herself around like a fairy! I think Chris is great, but Suzanne should win.

I'm guessing Mumba couldn't be bothered to show her face...or something equally pathetic. I preferred Suzanne's style of dancing by the end and am pleased she won, but considering how much Chris does work-wise, and how much effort he put into the whole thing, am quite gutted for him.

Awww go Suzanne! I always like it when someone other then the expected person wins, and you could tell from the look on her face that she really didn't think she was going to do it. Plus her performances were really just outstanding.

Yay, I we Suzanne wins! This is the third sweepstake in a row that I have won. I am buying a lottery ticket tomorrow. I will donate 10% of my inevitable winnings to the LC 'community' and you'll be grateful.
