To my mind the only thing Eastenders has going for it at the moment is the understated story about the developing friendship between these two characters.
It's so genuinly sweet and touching and involving and really rather amazing. It actually makes me think that maybe all hope in the soap isn't lost...
.... but then at the same time I fear they're gonna go down the usual unsubtle route and ruin it by turning it into some big explosive psycho lesbian ratings puller.

I don't like the way Ruby speaks. It's like Ronnie Ancona's impression of Little Mo.

I don't like the way Ruby speaks. It's like Ronnie Ancona's impression of Little Mo. As brilliant as Stacey is whenever she speaks I expecting her to start singing "Chim Chimmney, Chim Chimmney, Chim Chim Cheroo". Also why has Stacey managed to pal up with Ruby so quickly yet Demi, another teenage girl who's been on the square for ages appears to have no friends whatsoever?

Ruby's voice is great!
I love the way that she's a public school girl yet sound ten times harder than all the the wannabe gansters and 'ard men on the square.

I want them to turn lesbian! The writers botched things up with Zoe and Kelly's underwhelming moment of lust. This is their chance to redeem themselves.

Nobody will pal up with Demi 'cos she's a slack minged teenage Mum. I don't know what it's like dahn sarf but the posh twats that I went to school with would have ostracised her before her first ultrasound. Whore.

Demi is friends with Pauline Fowler. That's 'cos Pauline's daughter Michelle was also a slack minged whore when back in 1985 she fell for the charms of old leather scrotum face Dirty Den Senior. She got herself knocked up and now we have ugly Vicki to gawp at in wonder and bemusement. Pauline is simply takng out her guilt on Demi. She treat her own slut of a daughter like shit for getting knocked up and ruining a promising career at 'Poly'. Shelle was going to be the first one in the family to get an A Level in Sociology. Anyway, whats a young school girl doing knocking about with Powleeeen? Shouldn't she be out stealing Pic n Mix? PS. Where is Vicki Fowler? Someone remind me. She fucked off about a month ago.

I saw her on the 42 bus quite recently. She was, quite literally, in Manchester - which is where all EastEnders characters go when they leave the show. It's life imitating art!

Now you know very well that wherever it is they go has far more 'As' and 'Rs' than that.

And do people in the East End really say "I'm going Up West?"

I can't comment, but I like in West London and have never, to my knowledge, said that I'm going 'down east'.

Being one who lives in the East End I can say I've never said I was 'goin up West', but then I'm not a real eastender. Mostly I would never say that because from the east you don't go 'up' west, you just go west (life is peaceful there). Straight across.
I didn't like Ruby when she turned up but now I do. Go figure.

Is it just me, but has anyone noticed that Stacey looks just like Janine Butcher?? And while we are on the subject of Janine, what has happened to her - where is the court case for the murder of Barry?

Is it just me, but has anyone noticed that Stacey looks just like Janine Butcher?? She originally looked like a Janine replacement but instead she is so much more. She hates Zoe, which for me is good enough reason to keep her there permanently. She's sharing a cell with Sarah the stalker who's case has yet to go to trial either. Janine did recently come into some money as she managed to somehow sell her house to Johnny Allen without anyone mentioning it. I can't comment, but I like in West London and have never, to my knowledge, said that I'm going 'down east'. East End to West End: going up west. West End to East End: going down market.

I was waiting for Stacey and Ruby to lez it up. "Do you wanna listen to my t.A.T.u. CD Stacey?"

I was convinced that they were going to make Ruby and Stacey lez it up.
I do also see that Dvaey Jones comparison.
I do wish that Ruby wasn't leaving, she made a point for Stacey to be there and their friendship has been the best thing about EE for abou two months.
