Just switched over to see Alice Cooper hand out the award for best villian to Mad Maya.
I think I might watch the rest of it!

It annoyed me that they kept refering to it as Maya's Revenge and not it's proper title of Maya's Mad Monday.
It was still fab to see it all again though. Best soap plot of the year.

It was so gay and camp. The music and the graphics all seemed to come from america. I loved trying to lip read what the stars in the audience were saying. I'm sure Jessie Wallace said "What am I nominated for?", and her face was priceless when Jodie Albert won Sexiest female. Stone cold it was.

It was the same for the Best Actress award. Old plaster face was totally fucked off when Suranne Jones won it.
What a coup for Family Affairs though. On saying that though I was mightly pissed when they won the Best Storyling trophy and didn't even let the fit one speak.
As for the show...it was like waiting to die. Celebration v Despondancy for me because I only tuned in to hear Maggie Jones' acceptance speech. Can't believe she wasn't there.
I had a good cry during the Stan Richards tribute though.
Also: When Shane Richie won the Best Actor award and they showed that clip of him crying over a cassette player. Was that supposed to be some sort of joke? Or is he really that bad?

Jessie Wallace's face may have had more to do with the fact the Awards were on Saturday night and she knew what was going to be in the papers on Sunday.

Well Mini Plasterface whoever she may be also sported the same look when Chesney wiped the floor with her. And I don't think she was in the Sunday papers. Ha.

I thought Lacey Turner looked really uncomfortable being there.

Both Lacey Turner and Kate Ford couldn't have looked less thrilled to be nominated for Soap Bitch if they'd tried. I think Lacey just realised that she's never going to be able to pull in a nightclub. She'll be one of those soapstars stuck going out with another soapstar because of it.
Chesney's about her height.

Much as I like him I was stunned Anthony Cotton was up for best actor! He just comes on and plays himself. If he was playing a butch heterosexual wife-beater then maybe best actor but not when he just come on and say the lines.

How Lacey Turner didn't win Best Newcomer (nay, Best Everything) is beyond me.

her face was priceless when Jodie Albert won Sexiest female. She should watch Hollyoaks more often. If she had, she'd know that Debbie Dean is the most beautiful girl in the world because they mentioned it at least three times per episode.
