What a prick. I mean, I understand his point about Nikki a bit but he's obviously missed that that's the whole point of Nikki whereas the point of him is... well, exactly...

If we're referring to what he did on the highlights show I think I should add the following that wasn't shown.
In a later conversation between Mikey, Glyn, Lisa, Imogen and Grace it was implied that it was done by Mikey to show Nikki up so people would vote for her and not Grace at the last minute. Bad enough but he also implied that they knew about Nikki's problems with food which was what made them set her up in that way.
And this includes Glyn, which is why he hid her tart.

I agree with the other thread, Big Brother IS bad for you! It's impossible to watch stuff like that and not get really angry and frustrated that you can't do anything.
It was nothing to do with the beer, it was the principle, and Mikey just did that to be evil to Nikki. And he came out looking much worse than she did because of it.
What was Lea going on about by the way? My friend started talking to me then and I missed a bit of it but she was saying Pete and Nikki had shown her up or something? What, because Pete wanted to console Nikki after Nikki had a fight and not Lea after Nikki had a fight?

The nasty boorish Mikey of his interview tape is now coming out. The way he's dismissed Grace (much as I don't like her) over the week when she's been upset wasn't nice. However, the way he bullied Nikki was uncomfortable to watch. To go into her personal 'space' and steal something was bad enough (whether she should have taken a beer or not, he had no right to take it back), but to then taunt her and enjoy her breakdown over it was just plain nasty. It also infuriated me that he had no intentions of backing down. Yes, Nikki would be a nightmare to live with, but it's sweet she can see that and afterwards acknowledge it. Mikey on the other hand just comes over as venomous.

I think he may have signed his own eviction warrant. I know it's a tad premature but I can see Nikki and Pete voting for him, maybe Aisleyne too and probably Lea (though she'll vote for her best friends Richard and/or Nikki). Then if he is nominated, he prodded Grace and taunted Nikki, two crimes which are punishable by death (or eviction).
Please let it be Mikey to go this week!

Wow, I'm really surprised at everyone's reactions to this. Admittedly I was talking through a lot of the show and had had a bit to drink, but I really didn't see what the problem was. Perhaps I'm still a lot more anti-Nikki than most people, or so it seems (can't get the way she attacked Sam in the diary room out of my head and can't accept her spoilt little girl act as anything other than an excuse to behave like a cunt), but the idea of nicking back something she'd stolen seemed quite reasonable to me...
Did I miss something? Was I just too busy laughing at the ridiculous pitch and tone of Mikey's voice to latch on to the wave of hate?

Mikey took the beer just to get a rise out of her in the hope that she'd get evicted over Grace, apparently, but he just ended up looking like an evil bastard because of the way he treated her. He shouted at her, ignored her when she tried to talk to him, and generally treated her like shit. He acted as though she was crying to get attention when in fact she was crying because he was being genuinely horrible to her.
And actually, she didn't steal the beer, she took one aside for herself because she hadn't got one and everyone else had, which I would have done. He stole it to spite her. And the beer was immaterial, it was the way he treated her as if she wasn't worth shit and as if he was completely right to make her feel bad about herself.

Now this is all in the context, as always, of Big Brother making characters out of real people - maybe I should preface all my posts here with that disclaimer, because I'm not idiotic enough to think I can actually know what people who I've never met are like. So, as characters: And the beer was immaterial, it was the way he treated her as if she wasn't worth shit and as if he was completely right to make her feel bad about herself. I'm not sure... that she *is* worth shit. She's a horrible person herself. Somehow the effect of watching horrible people being horrible to other horrible people is not actually that bad. For Nikki fans who are about to think less of me for saying that, what has she done to show what a lovely soul she is? She's a famewhore like the rest of them, albeit one who is unusually difficult to stomach on account of the way she pretends to have some kind of learning disability - when at other moments its quite patent she has nothing of the sort. Perhaps all the acting like a baby works and makes people more ready to feel sympathetic to her. Well, I don't. Seeing her bidding a loving farewell to Grace, an evil robot that'd put the shits up a terminator if ever there was one, right after Grace had yet again proved beyond all doubt what a cunt she is - well, being in that thing's gang and all that, it just sickens me. Hearing her blind idiotic prejuidice at Sam, that sickens me. Her hypocrisy in stealing and simultaneously ranting against stealing sickens me. The way when her beer was stolen she immediately marched up to another beer without a thought for whose it was and said 'i'm having this one' sickens me too. SHE SICKENS ME! Pretty funny in the diary room though, to be fair.

His scarily intense, through gritted teeth "fucking slut" comment about Aisleyne has totally put me off him: he's either dull or utterly repugnant. I also love that after spending an entire month with Grace the only thing he can say he'll miss most about her, even to her face, is her "peachy bum". My least favourite, even more so than smarmy Richard and bizarro Lea.

Much as he bores me, during the fashion show he looked like a very poor man's version of Noel Fielding.

I enjoyed Mikey complaining that Suzie was 'so far up her her own arse' for complaining about Glyn being sick everywhere. BB cut to show her to be more or less the only housemate helping him and cleaning up after him.
Yes, it could just be editing, but he really seems to be a twat and a half. My least favourite housemate yet.

I liked his impersonation of Pete, and vice versa. I struggle though to like anything about any of them bar Pete.

Although I have found him arrogant and nasty I do think he redeemed himself a teensy little bit when helping drunken Glynn.

have to admit that my opinion of mikey has completely changed.
i used to think he was a boring dull twat but the last couple of days he seems to have redeemed himself. he's been really sweet and the i loved the way he stood up to Nikki in the scrubbers challenge and told her to get out when she threatened to - her face was priceless!
plus he was the only one who looked after Glynn last night (albeit a bit from suzie). all the others childishly ran away from him

Did we watch the same show? Mikey seemed to help Glynn a little before returning to bed and later complaining about Suzie in the diary room - Suzie seemed to be the only one consistantly helping Glynn, clearing up after him and following the medical advice given by BB
Everybody else, including Mikey, seemed more keen just to leave him. Mikey is a twat. End of. Know what I mean. Sound. Babes.

Mikey put Glyn to bed with a bucket and a glass of water, but Suzie took the bucket away to 'sterilize' it, which resulted in the 'Get the bucket' hysteria, when Glyn got up. Mikey had a problem with Suzie's attitude with the 'I've never seen an adult behave like this' comments. She was following Glyn around, but only because she was worried where he was going to vomit next.
