Just counting the usuals, not the Celebrity ones.
I've voted for this year's as it's the only one I've ever given up on, but I'd be interested to know what others think.
I also disliked a lot of 4, and hate BB3 for introducing twists that actually changed the way the show operated in the form of the rich/poor divide.

It has to be BB4, when Cameron won. Snooooore. I liked this year's, I can't say why, but I just did.

Definately 4. With the noble exception of Jon Tickle they were all SOOOOOOOOOOO boring. The only good bit was when they banished Cameron to Africa and replaced him with a slightly manic African guy who manged to make one of the girls cry within about 10 minutes of arrival by calling her fat.

I expect that one of the reasons I gave BB4 more time than BB8 is because BB4 came off the back of three largely great series. BB8 really didn't. But I think that BB4 having Cameron win means that it comes in for a little more stick than is probably fair (rubbish as it was), because he becomes a dull figurehead for it.

I kind of liked BB4 - partly cos I think it's cute that they are all still friends and stuff.
BB6 and 7 were my least fave. BB7 because they muckedit about too much and BB6 cos Anthony = worst winner ever, and there was blatant sexism going on with Makois/Orlaith= slutsfromhell and Anthony=innocent. Hmmm.

I think 4 gets a poor rap because its sandwiched between the two most psychotically drama-filled series in Big Brother history. Really it's just BB2 without Brian.
Personally BB3 ("OMG who is going to be on Rich Side/Poor Side this week?" "OMG I DO NOT CARE") and BB6 where they wasted potentially two of the greatest housemates ever, because they didn't know what to do with Makosi, and they didn't rig it for Kinga to go in instead of Eugene (yawn) or Orlaith (*slides into coma*) are my least favourites although this series did have the disctinction of the shittest finale ever.

I kind of liked BB4 - partly cos I think it's cute that they are all still friends and stuff. Me too! I’m picking BB8 because, despite there being a million housemates this year, there was only three that I actually liked. And two of those counted as one person. I want to like housemates; Hating is so draining.

BB is shit because the British public are a bunch of Rtarted fuckwits. Any female character that asserts herself or challenges the other favourites is a bitch and is 'playing a game'.
On Big Brother's Big Mouth you always get those people in the audience who whenever talking about any contestant will add "(s)he's playing a game". Yes, the whole show is a game you silly bitch. Everyone becomes psychologists and over-analyses everything. Aisleyne hysterically bursting into tears in BB7 was 'playing up to the camera'. If she was acting she was the best actress I've ever seen on TV.
It's women who are the worst at it, they should be banned from voting. Women will vote for the guys they fancy (and they'll fancy anyone), and all the girls are bitches, unless they are 100% super-sweet like the twins.
Everyone moans and says it's shit and boring when everyone is nice to eachother, e.g. this year. But when you get characters that stir it up a bit, like Makosi, she become public enemy number one.
If I was an evil dictator after the final of Big Brother, I'd retrieve the voting records and have anyone who voted for anyone like Anthony or Brian to win shipped off to my gulag.

I voted BB4, because that's the only one of the shit years that I watched enough of to be able to pass judgement. I didn't watch six, barely watched seven until the very end, and didn't watch eight, so.

I voted this one, because for the first time I actually could not tolerate watching it. I switched off about half way, and it was a relief.

Oh, this one, by far.
BB3 - I liked Rich House Poor House, and I loved Alex.
BB4 was dull but at least I could hate that rancid bitch Steph and cast aspersions about Cameron's relationship with his mother.
Six was shit but not offensively so.
Seven had Aisleyne and will therefore be never be the worst because Aisleyne = greatest housemate EVER. (I nearly cried when Now magazine called her Trashleyne.)
I barely watched this year; when I did I didn't know who they even were; the desperation of the producers practically wept from the TV screen; 'Look! Moar housemaits! Moar housemaits!'; having six housemates on the final night is absurd; and the victory of creepy fake Brian and the coming-second-ness of the twins, plus the 'HE'S SO BORING' treatment of Gerry when he tried to talk about art or history or whatever, really crystalised the depressing anti-intellectualism that's becoming the standard for these shows. Being clever isn't something to be ashamed of.

It's between BB4 and BB8 for me.
While BB6 was terrible for Anthony winning, it had the saving graces of rather brilliant housemates like Derek, Makosi and Kemal. And the "BB will lie to you twice this week" was one of the best twists they've done.
I think I'll have to go for BB8. BB4 was a bit rubbish, but generally meh. On the other hand, BB8 was rubbish, and had several moments which deeply annoyed me (ie Gerry getting evicted and nominated for being clever, Ziggy never getting punished for making Chanelle walk out, Liam coming 3rd for doing sod-all while somehow being "innocent" in the whole Amy thing, far too many housemates and twists, Brian winning).

BB8. Too long, too many housemates, too disorganised and just too.... bleh.

Series 3 was my favourite too.
Alex was a brilliant contestant, and I think it was the last series where it really was about the social aspect and not a load of dull no-marks trying to get a media "career"/appear in a gents mag. (I know Kate then went on to present tv and whatnot but I believe that happened by accident more than she went in for the sole reason to get it from the show)
I stopped watching after series six. It became obvious throughout that series that BB were blatantly biased - editing for their own gain, and the quality of the show in both terms of ideas and contestants and overall atmosphere was dropping. I really think it peaked with the infamous fight night where it kicked off. Nothings been the same since. The show now just seems to be produced for negative results - pointing out peoples flaws, or designed to provoke fighting, arguments and sluttish behavior to try to reproduce that night.
I tried to watch a couple of episodes of later series but just didn't connect with the contestants or the show.
I'm glad the Celebrity one was canned. That's been shit since the first series, when soon after it was just about z-list people trying to reboot their fame.
It needs to change if it's going to survive.
Firstly, the show needs to take a break and have a serious rethink of what they want to do with it and how they run it. They should shorten the show to begin with, make it 8 weeks, and less fucking contestants. Actually pick people that have depth and personality for a change. I don't believe you have to be a total thick arrogant cunt to be entertaining.
Secondly, they should write it into the contestants contracts that they cannot give any appearance, interview or photo shoot for any mag or rag or tv show not directly linked to Big Brother till the whole series has finished. This would automatically cut off any wannabe celebrities trying to use it for their own means. X-Factor does this, so i don't see why Big Brother couldn't.
Thirdly, stop fucking with the format. Give the contestants actual stuff to do. tasks that actually take some skill and more than a day to do. Dressing them up as twats is not entertaining. Stop with the "evil big brother" "secret room" "false eviction" crap, it is tired, predictable to the point the contestants don't fall for it, and more importantly, crushingly boring.
And lastly, get rid of Davina Mc-fucking-Call. She is horrific. And pulling ridiculous faces whilst SHOUTING. AT. THE CAMERA. ALL THE TIME. IS NOT....... GREAT PRESENTING. She's become more and more blatantly biased to some contestants over the series. Her (biased) interviewing technique is crap, and she really does no favours for the show or its image anymore.
(Edited for shocking grammar and spelling. Again.)

I think the two lies were that nominations were optional, and that Anthony, Craig and Eugene were up for eviction. The whole two lies thing was brilliant, and BB6 was a brilliant series and is probably my favourite. I can't understand why it gets such a slating.

The whole two lies thing was brilliant, and BB6 was a brilliant series and is probably my favourite. I can't understand why it gets such a slating. Yes, first BB said that nominations were optional, and only Anthony, Craig and Kemal nominated. Then BB announced that those three were up for eviction, when actually it was everyone else. There was the fake lie to throw them off too - "There is a mole in the house", and they hid a cuddly toy mole in the garden. By far the best twist of recent series, although Aisleyne going into the House Next Door worked quite well (not the rest of the House Next Door business, just Aisleyne's reaction, and return to the main house). Absolutely agree with The Moog: make the series shorter, fewer housemates, no new housemates halfway through (except to replace people who walk out), cut the nominations twists, give them some interesting tasks, and either get rid of Davina, or get her to work on her interviewing.

I would really like to see a twist of "OK, you've been voted by the public to not win... would you like to stay in the house regardless?" The public always vote out the most interesting housemates, who are usually the most provocative housemates. (I'd like to say its the ones with depth and personality, but I can't. Makosi and Charley provided far more entertainment than Cameron and Dan ever did). Keep them in once they know they have no chance of winning and see how things go then.

It has to be BB4. That one was boring from the get go.
BB8 is a close second though. It was a complete mess from start to finish. It was full of pointless twists that went absolutely nowhere.
BB6 was pretty entertaining, especially in comparison to those two, but it's still one of my least favourites, mainly because all of the contestants were such cunts apart from Kinga and Eugene. I also think Anthony Hutton is still the worst winner ever.

BB8, because in their desperation to keep it interesting with twists, fake housemates, and more occupiers than Wormwood Scrubs, they still managed to make it colossally dull.
BB4 was hyped as "back to basics" so at least they warned you from the start it wasn't going to be interesting.
Also I fancied Cameron.

BB7 - Pete AND Nikki. Two of the most irritatating wankers I have ever had the misfortune to watch on TV.
BB6 was a great series but marred by the second worst winner (after Pete) in the series' history.
BB4 was incredibly dull as well but BB7 irritated the hell out of me and gave me bad blood pressure.

Lollerskates! Now they're trying to claim they wanted this year to be boring in the wake of Poppadom-gate. Except they still had to evict someone for racist language. And they don't seem to realise that it can be interesting without being based on screaming rows and simmering race hate. (For example - Emma and Michelle in the bedsit turning off the hot water.) Well done, kids.
