I've just seen the new chart. If anybody had told me that Kylie's comeback single would only get to number 4 I'd have thought they were a bit thick. Stupid record buying public for not recognising genius/lapping up everything Kylie does* like deranged fans.
Can't it be next Monday now? I'm giving will power a go for once and resisting the leaks but I'm not sure how much that will last.
*Unless it's that shitting awful Children's book she was hawking a year or so back.

Number 4?? That's insanity, especially when you look at the top 3.

Surely lots of people are waiting for the album? She should have released the single a long way in advance of X, then more people would have bought it....

I have to say that The One is a song of absolute genius. I keep trying to go back to the other songs on the album but The One really is The One. Yet another C Dennis effort and the best thing on X.
If anyone can read morse code I'd love to know if the beeping is actually a message.

It pulls off the nigh on impossible task of being both completely beautiful and highly ass-shakeable.

I think X is great although its a bit all over the place in style.
I went from hating Speakerphone to it being my favourite, and from adoring The One to being a little bored.
NU-Di-TY is horrific though and it is pointed out as so on virtually every review of the album and is contributing to a bit of negative buzz around it. Shame as there are a couple of leaked songs from Mylo that would have been much much better.
Oh and Wow is the next single! Yay!!

I had two of 'those days' in a row at the start of the week, so on Tuesday evening I caved into the album to cheer me up. It was either that or start shooting up really. I do love it, despite the fact that it's a bit all over the place. I'll spoiler my thoughts for those folk with will power waiting until tomorrow: 2 Hearts - Still fackin' brilliant really. I think I'm the only person happy that she came back with this. Like A Drug - 'S'allright. it doesn't really do much though, does it? In My Arms - AMAZING. Speakerphone - A definite grower. i couldn't really get past the harp intro to begin with. But I love it now. Sensitized - This really doesn't do it for me. I never thought it would end up on the album after the initial leak earlier in the year. Heartbeat Rock - Dull dull dull. When I heard Calvin Harris was producing her a song I assumed it would be like one of the very few good songs on his rubbishy album.I do like the way she quickly says 'heart beat rock' though. It reminds me of her amazing rap on Secret. The One - Probably could end up in my top ten Kylie songs ever. No More Rain - Very nice. All I See - What. Is. This? it's something from janet jackson's bins, that's what it is. What rubbish. Stars - The same as I feel about Sensitized really. Wow - Smashing. Nu-Di-Ty - I love this, it's so much fun. Obviously it's a load of bunkum on first listen. Cosmic - Nice enough.
I'm sick of reading reviews complaining that the album isn't personal enough. Piss off, Reviewers! It's Kylie. Can't we have one popstar who doesn't bang on abot themselves the whole time? Wow should in no way whatsoever be the next single and I'm a bit miffed fuming about it. Yes it's good, but it really is just a Love At First Sight retread and nothing new. I realise why they want to release it after the under performing 2 Hearts being perceived as not being 'Kylie enough' for the record buying public, but In My Arms and The One are both vintage Kylie, much better and much more exciting.

Oh no, poor Rad. I wasn't going to risk Kylie with our new postman, he looks a bit shifty. So I'm fresh back from Woolies with my CD/DVD edition. I got a big gay special Kylie bag with it.

It's a travesty that X is being beaten by Shayne Ward in the midweeks. I suppose there are more council estate mums than there are gays.
The only other album selling more is Leona Lewis'. I bet Dannii joined The X Factor with the intent of creating more monsters to destroy her sister with, like some mad scientist or Rita Repulsa battling the Power Rangers.

I'm guessing we don't need spoilers anymore...
I think it's a bit of a mixed bag on the first playing, with a few absolute standout beltingly brilliant tracks. In My Arms and The One are pant wettingly good and I'm old enough to think Like A Drug is like Visage's Fade to Grey and therefore can only be a good thing.
I think I'm going to like it. Mostly.

That's really cruel. Send me your number and I'll call you up and sing each song in full down the phone to you. It'll be just like owning the album.

Wasn't Tangled Up in second place during the midweeks too? It's probably a case of the fans going out and buying Shayne straight away, and sales figures tailing off towards the end of the week, whereas Kylie's sales figures will remain consistent, possibly peaking at the weekend when the Saturday shoppers hit the stores. That's what used to happen in the olden days, when I was on work experience in HMV.

And she's touring! Kylie X, coming soon to an arena near you. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7117152.stmA google search tells me the dates are: Belfast 26/06/2008 Belfast 27/06/2008 Glasgow 05/07/2008 Glasgow 06/07/2008 Manchester 14/07/2008 Manchester 15/07/2008 London 26/07/2008 London 27/07/2008 Quite a bit of space in between, which means she's having a nice break and a leisurely trip around the UK, or more dates will be added. Not bloody Cardiff though, home of Doctor Who and her mother's aunt.

Oh rubbish, where are the Birmingham dates too? Hmmm, my semi Kylie loving mates will need a lot of persuading to travel/stay over as well.
I do hope she's not working too hard. What with all the X promo and rehearsal time, she really won't have any sort of time off in the run up to the bazillion tour dates.

But last time Kylie toured, the booking fee was dearer than the tickets. I don't hold out much hope of ever seeing her live.
Still no CD. Dunkley's dulcet tones might have to suffice.
They had sold out of X in WHSmith in Sheffield today. But then again, they had also sold out of Lee Mead, Paul Potts, Katherine Jenkins and some other bloke singer I'd never heard of. People of a certain generation seem to shop in WHSmith in Sheffield. And possibly the gays.

I'm going to Prague to see her. Prague!
The album is a proper grower, isn't it? Most of it passed me by on first listen, but it's all falling into place now. Like A Drug, Sensitized, Heart Beat Rock, The One, All I See, Wow and Cosmic are my favourites.
Nu-di-ty is quite possibly the worst song Kylie has ever recorded. It's also a career low for Bloodshy & Avant, which considering they also did Britney's godawful My Prerogative is something of an achievement.

Has it arrived yet? One of my mates still hasn't had his, from the INCREASINGLY SHIT Play.com also.
I remember a time when they'd send new albums out so they arrived on the Saturday before.

Amazon deliveries are even worse at present- two weeks on average from dispatch email being sent to receiving the products.
Mind you I live in a postal black hole. The Royal Mail hate me, I swear. It may not be Play or Amazon's fault.
No post as yet today. If it comes (they often don't bother) it's usually in the afternoon.
EDIT: OK, the post just arrived and no X. Where is my bloody CD? I suspect it's the Post Office's fault, but am off to moan at Play.com anyway.

But I have Kylie tickets for Manchester. GOOD TIMES. Woohoo!
Sleep now.
