Did anyone see this today?
Kylie releases her brand new single "2 Hearts" on Parlophone on November 12th, preceded by the digital release on November 5th.
The single is the first taster from her new album, which will be released later in November. Further details of the album will follow.
"2 Hearts" was written and produced by London based electro 4 piece Kish Mauve.
Writing of the song, The Sun's Victoria Newton recently said: "It is a surefire No. 1, a classic Kylie song you won't stop humming. Expect her to hit No. 1 in both charts when the single and album are released in November."
I must say I am really really looking fwd to this

If she does a charity single maybe she can keep the X-factor riff-raff off number one at Christmas?

Kylie is my favourite ever popstar and this album could perhaps be one of her best yet. I take it we've all submitted our songs for it? Everyone else has, so think of the treasures she could harvest for it. Though I doubt she'll ever top Confide In Me. I do hope she doesn't do a Charity Single though. One of the things I love about Kylie is how she's content to be a kickass popstar and doesn't bog that down with charities and political statements like so many others do.

Though I doubt she'll ever top Confide In Me. Indeed. Can't wait for the new stuff though, I do love a bit of Kylie.

I have those tracks which were 'leaked' a few months ago, allegedly from the new album. ('In My Arms', 'Fall For You', 'Lose Control', 'Stars' and 'Sensitized'.) They're not bad but most sound like fillers.
The Kylie Exhibition is in Glasgow - her hotpants in a glass case and the white hoody she wore for 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' on a dummy I imagine. The 'exclusive' opening on Friday launches our 'Glasgay' Festival. I've got tickets but I'm frightened in case Colin & Justin are there.

Blimey the album press release is out - and what a line up of producers!
Bloodshy & Avant, Calvin Harris, The Freemasons (yay!) Greg Kurstin and Cathy Dennis. Methinks this will be quite dancefloor friendly

I don't like the fact that it's called 'X'. That's just shit. In fact, I'm going to make this a negative post and say that i don't like the photos that seem to be accompanying these press releases where she's all pale and lying on satin and generally looking like she's at her own funeral. So cold.

Maybe it's her own way of getting back at the "Brave Kylie" type journalists who acted as though she was already on the slab when it was announced she had cancer... sort of a "look, I'm laughing at my own mortality, I am that fierce!" type thing...?

I like X as an album title. It works as her tenth album and it's quite sweet she borrowed the album title from the man who changed her life, and which was released when they were together.

She probably borrowed that photoshoot's concept from him too. Anyway, all is forgiven because this is ridiculously ace:

My goodness! That photo is like 18 square kilometres of fabulousness packed into one small package.
I had some Kylie related drama this morning. I was trying to buy the Showgirl cd in Woolies for £4.83 but Maria on the counter couldn't find it. Sian then turned up because the queue was getting longer and Maria told Sian she couldn't find Kylie. So Sian said "she's under M, ain't she". Maria asked "what's she doing there for?" and Sian replied "She's Minogue, ain't she" to which Maria replied "But it says Kylie on the cd not Kylie Minogue". Sian said "well you've got it now haven't you" to which Maria gaver her a death stare and said "yeah, well I was just saying like" and they continued to bicker about it. (I also bought the Hairspray soundtrack for £7.99 - bargain!)

But I do suppose that many a war has been fought over lesser Gods. What else was in your Woolies basket? It may be eligible for some sort of award for total campness.

It was just those cds in Woolies, although I did pop to Tesco afterwards and get Tea With Mussollini on dvd for £3 and the Radio Times and some almond croissants. There was an equally bizarre conversation there between a customer and shelf stacker about a smell in the canned produce aisle.

I always like seeing how shop assistants react when you buy homosexual-type products. One lady in my WHSmiths always gives me a knowing smile when I buy AXM or something, always places it facedown as if I was subtly buying Incestous Scat Lovers Weekly and then tries a bit too hard to offer me the half-price giant bar of Cadburys as she clearly thought I was planning a night in of binge eating and a crywank. Bless 'er.

Bless 'er. That happens to me as well, but I get more of a knowing scowl. However, a rather fey looking WHSmith person gave me and my mate a look of solidarity when we handed over a Hollyoaks Hunks 2004 calendar one year...

There is a member of staff in WH Smith in Queen Street Station who makes it quite clear that she deserves the right to wear a pair of disposable gloves when touching Attitude - obviously I went back straight after my purchase to make her touch the Brokeback Mountain book.

I always remember the guy saying to me, re a copy of Gay Times I was buying to read on the train, 'Do you want a bag for that sir?' I said yes, I'd wear it over my head.

I don't really buy gay mags, but whenever I do my 'hello' and 'thank you' to the till person is always said in a much deeper voice than usual. I don't actually know why.

I am not drinking tonight and getting up tomorrow at 7am* (on my day off no less) to watch the new Kylie video premiere on GMTV. Barring Christmas Day itself there is nothing else that I would stay sobre and get up early for - yet further proof that Kylie is the new Jesus.
This had better not be shit.
*I'm setting the video just in case though.

Is it? I'd hoped it was going to be a bit more electro than their original
