Hello! I am Paul, and this is the messageboard that goes with my website, www.lowculture.co.uk. It would be nice if you could all say hello here and tell everyone a bit about yourself, just so we can get to know each other better and become a big, happy dysfunctional internet family. Hooray! paul x

Oh, hello.
You've actually got a name!
Well, I've been loitering round these parts since before I don't know when.
Much as I enjoy the odd bit of Pop Justice I was always first and foremost been a Lowculture sort of a boy.
I'm not a big one for the Soaps, but most other rubbish on TV attracts me like the motherlode. Especially make over shows, I'm a real sucker for a before and after.
In the dysfunctional family bagsy be the funny Uncle.

Hi! I'm a Popjustice refugee, who's relieved not to have to pretend I know anything about pop anymore.
Delighted to be able to talk about Big Brother without embarrassment, also love makeover shows and old adverts and cartoons.
I'm a shortarse, so am always the baby or the withered old Granny in make believe families. As long as I get a walking stick to wave, and a dummy to spit, I'll be happy.

Hellooo!
I registered with PopJustice a while ago, but don't really post there as much as I should. I prefer the Low Culture aspect, anyway, being a bit of a tv and movie junkie.
At the moment I'm utterly addicted to BB (who isn't?!) and also have an unhealthy obsession with Neighbours. So hopefully I'm just going to fit right in here.

Hello!
I'm Becky as you might have guessed. I'm the grand age of 21 and live in the crap old town of Durham.
I'm a neighbours addict, but I dont have much opportunity to watch much else on tv anymore unfortunately.

I'm Danniiboy and am an old-timer on PopJustice/Lowculture. I'm starting to spend more time on here than I should after becoming a Moderator, I've done bugger all work this afternoon!
I'm not a massive one for the soaps apart from River City for some inexcusable reason (crap Scottish soap)
My favourite TV shows are: Mile High, Melrose Place, Queer As Folk (UK and US), Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, Bad Girls, Footballers' Wives, BH 90210 and Popular amongst others
My favourite Films are: Clueless, Bring It On, Romy And Michelle, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Legally Blonde (1 and 2) Jawbreaker, Slap Her,She's French!, The Sweetest Thing, Sugar And Spice, View From The Top..get the picture?
Oh and I love cheesy horror films too (Scream Trilogy, Valentine, I (Still) Know What You Did Last Summer) (as well as scary ones (Dark Water, Ring, Halloween)
I think in this family I'd be the gay brother who sleeps with his married workmate in the City... Or is that just a fantasy....

Hello I am Adam.
I found LC thru PJ. I love them both, however some times my eyes get a little bit sore from squinting at the writing on the LC website. But, not to panic, I found a way of increasing the text size!
I'm 18, I live in London with my family. We are an odd bunch, hopefully I'll be departing them soon and moving wherever work may take me...
I've only met one LC/PJ person, so I'm looking forward to any possible future meet ups.
I like: EastEnders, Big Brother, How clean is your house, Retro BO selecta, my new best friend (sadly, there will not be a second series), All new TOTP, Spooks and probably a lot more.
I don't like: Hollyaoks, Family Affairs, Emmerdale, Saturday show, Wimbledon and probably a lot more.
Interesting fact: I nearly feel off the back of 'Mission Control' (the bit where all the kids stand on SM:tv) whilst messing round while CD:uk was on.

Hello! I am Jessica aka Poptastic. I'm 16 and live in Berkshire. You probably know me from Popjustice or the old Lowculture boards.
For TV I love anything with pop music especially Popworld, but apart from that my favourite show is The OC, so I'm currently filling my days with the theme song on repeat and lots of lovely Adam Brody pictures until it returns in the Autumn. I also watch Neighbours and Richard and Judy religiously. As for films I love funny teen films (Ghost World, Clueless), films with buff hotties in them (Currently loving Billy Crudup and Ryan Gosling) and musicals (Moulin Rouge being my favourite).

Hello, I am John, and am in Dublin. I just found this website today while off work sick (teehee!) and I think it may just encapsulate everything I am about. I know all the subtitles to all seven of the Police Academy movies off by heart. My favourite is Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach.

Hello,
I'm Richard. Some of you old people here may remember us from last year when we posted on the lowculture/popjustice boards quite a bit.
We also had a lovely spangly website called "H(from Steps)went to my School" which featured regular features such as why Jenny Frost was a right old slapper and we hope she got beat up, who was the best member of S Club 8 and why Shannen Doherty was the best Actor in the world.
Due to getting really lazy and being drunk a lot being very busy with lots of exciting projects (I'm in Uni doing Law don't you know!) we were off the internet for nearly a year. As a result we're only now getting back into the swing of it but you can expect regular postings as our life is filled with boredom once more.
Our favourite films are Grease 2, Romy & Michele's Highschool Reunion, Clueless, Doom Generation, Cherry Falls, Mallrats and A View from the Top. Our favourite Tv Shows are Popular, Alias, Buffy, Footballers Wives, Bad Girls, Blossom, 90210 and our favourite comic book creator is Andi Watson
You'll also notice that we refer to things as "we" and "our" despite the fact there's only one of us. This is cus we think it's quite fun and who knows perhaps there's thousands of us here who went to school with H from Steps really and we just pretend to be one person!
I also like drinking 3 bottles of vodka before composing "introducing me" messages.
Lisa Scott Lee(from Steps)Didn't go to my School!

Hello!!
I'm a Popjustice refugee also. As I am currently a lady of leisure I have a lot of time to a) watch crap/ace telly and b) write rubbish about it on the interweb.
I heart Lowculture as people here love Peep Show (the best comedy ever, bar NONE - WHEN WHEN WHEN is the 2nd series going to appear??) and Maid Marian. My husband bought me a Maid Marian video for Christmas once. Which is why he is my husband.
You may remember a thread on PJ asking which song I should walk down the aisle to...

You may remember a thread on PJ asking which song I should walk down the aisle to... I do! For want of a better phrase, but I don't think we ever found out what was chosen...

No, nor did I... I messaged Mr PJ to find out but never heard what song my public demanded...! In the end I went for my original choice, Heartbeats by The Knife, whom you all should love with all your hearts (*cough* single out Sept 20) if only for the fact that it's Pat Butcher's band...

I am Jon and I often pretend to be doing my college work while actually visiting PJ and watching TV. Naughty!
My favourite shows are Coronation Street, Sex & The City, Friends, Spaced, The Bill, The Simpsons and the mighty Footballers Wives.
EDIT: having read other people's posts in this topic, I cannot believe I missed out Maid Marian - best children's TV show EVER; it was like kids TV but for adults - (which then reminded me of another ace CBBC show, Byker Grove) and CD:UK (and also, Popworld)
and I'll mention my favourite films: Desperately Seeking Susan, American Beauty, 10 Things I Hate About You, Spiceworld, Notting Hill, Four Weddings & A Funeral, Beauty & The Beast and Aladdin.
Hello everyone!

Hello there!
I'm Michael, an avid fan of Lowculture and popjustice. Just thought I'd join the boards here and enjoy the fun.
I'm a 33 year old working in the not-so-glam-as-you'd-think world of Theatre Awards.
Anyway, hello to you all.

I don't think I want my own thread, so I'll introduce myself right here.
Some of you will recognise the name from Popjustice and the LifeItself boards, so mwah if you do.
I'm Adrian, I'm soon-to-be 25 and live in Edinburgh. But I'm not a Scot, nae I'm an Irish boy, here doing a study thing.
I do love tv. I just don't see enough of it as I'm either on the piss, on the net, or avoiding my flatmates' watching of The Soccer Football. But when I do get to see it, I enjoy Neighbours, Corrie, H&A, Little Britain, Teachers...all the usual jazz.

Hello. I am Emma. I live in Nottingham where there are many many gays. I was a gay til I got a boyfriend, but he has hair like Jude Law and is probably also gay, so it's all very confusing really. You may know me from the PJ Life board, or the old PJ board but I'm not clever enough to say much about music.
I like lots of crap telly though so I thought I'd come here in the hope that you might not think I'm a twat I will find stimulating conversation aplenty. I've just been forced to miss Corrie. I'm not pleased.

I doubt anyone ever reads this thread, but hello, just in case.
I'm Jim, aka Joestalin, a 33-yr-old local government officer from Worcester. I'm married with one young son - am I the most average person to have appeared on here?
I "properly hate" ITV, and never watch BB, so that limits me. I do love EastEnders and Corrie, though - and, being a leftie, I also despise the Mail.
Oh, and I'm a loyal Pet Shop Boys fan, so that's something.

My name is Kirkland Ciccone and here is a bit of my history so you can get to know me as a friend: I am 24 and I am a sometime writer for This Is Fake DIY, Rock Louder and Neu! I am also a full time performance poet and don't need to work the usual 9 To 5 as a result of my other job as a psychic consultant (No, I swear I'm not kidding) and published in various places and times. I am a very nice guy and was invited to perform alongside some of the best performance poets in Glasgow where Liz Lochhead herself graces us with her presence. Queen Elizabeth herself! Anyway, I used be known as Dr Bastard and was the scourge of Geri fans everywhere but especially on PopJustice. After a few nice words with Mr PopJustice, I became the 'real' me who isn't nearly as evil as Dr Bastard was. I found LowCulture, a haven for Who fans, and now I probably spend more time here than anywhere else thanks to the Pro Aisleyne campaign which, if you think about it, made the site even better than usual.
I LOVE Betty Boo and drew some funny looks when in a recent interview with a local paper, I cited her as my main influence over all poets. Like Danniiboy (cool avatar by the way) I love horror movies but classy ones, not nasty ones. I love Veronica Mars, reading, music and everything really.
I became Sir Anthony Eden here because I feel you need a good Prime Minister to govern you lot, though without force, only advice.
K x
