I think that Twiggy would be slightly less rubbish if she had a haircut. An updated crop like wot she used to have in the sixties would look very good. Also, any smirking/lesbionic tendencies on Erin's part could well be connected to memories of Jamie Theakston.

Who's that other blonde piece? I know Twiggy and Erin and Myleene and Noemie but who's that other one? Was she always there? She's a bit nondescript.

I'm seeing so many lesbian undertones in this ad now that weren't there for me before. Apart from the whole, 'oops I've opened the door in my undies - again' scenes, the train going into the tunnel sequences are just too funny. Not forgetting the forgettable blonde model 'bunking up' with the curly exhibitionist one. What would Agatha Christie say?

Erin O'Connor is talking at the V&A museum Friday week about 'couture' - and hopefully Marks & Spencers too. How exciting.

Are the marketing department going to team up the Harpies with Take That for Christmas? Obviously Twiggy would be Jason's first choice and Erin would probably be able to sling Mark across her shoulders to keep her warm on the way to the party. What about the others?

Lowculture outing, anyone? Oh you SHOULD! That V&A Age of Couture thing looks ace. I've downloaded the free dress pattern from their website. I love the V&A, it's so glam. The tea room with the big fancy ceiling is brilliant at night. Good museum shop too. In terms of the Take That Harperie - I don't know that I like it. This coupled with their crap song on the Morrisons ads is making me question why I forked out £65 to go and see them next month. That my hugely embarassing mum is going too just shows how dodgy they're becoming. Actually, there is a bit of M&S/Morrisons advertising incestuousness going on here, because Alan "tall dark and" Hansen was an M&S Harpie too not so long ago.

Lowculture text alert! According to the M&S website, the ad launches during Corrie on Wednesday. It's themed around 1940s glamour, and features the Harpies competing for the attentions of Antonio Banderas.
How did I go from hating these ads to wanting to see this more than almost anything else in the world, ever?

Last years Dame Shirley did it. It's all her fault.

I don't care about Antonio Banderas unless he was in Puss in Boots form but I'm not a total bestialist or anyfink. And Puss would probably model alternative items from the men's footwear range. Is it wrong that I saw the new M&S Harpies Xmas advert and I was on here before it had even finished? Sometimes I think I spend too much time on Lowculture... Anyway, I quite like it. Nowhere near as OTT Christmas glamour as last year's, but it's not bad.

He's no Dame Shirley. It was ok though, a bit strange.

Twiggy shouldn't have a second name. It's not right.
Decent advert though, if not a little too gimmicky. And it's not christmassy enough.

It didn't feel edited right with the song - they should have had something more fabulously forties, but all the Harpies looked amazing as ever. Nice to see that even at this Most Wonderful Time of the Year Erin can still assume Olympic-level looks of disdain. They should have had the Spice Girls' Lady Is A Vamp playing in the background - "Blondie, Skinny, Undie, Smug..>".
And Antonio Banderas - still would. Even if I was closing my eyes and thinking of Law of Desire.

M&S took the effort to email my mother to tell her to watch tonight.
It's done very well, as White Christmas as you can get, and Twiggy looks fantastic. I'm still convinced she's Emma Bunton's birth mother.

Oh my GOD I love this advert. Is it "How To Marry a Millionaire" based? Because I know it's familiar...
And I haven't loved Antonio Banderas this much since Evita. Even with the approximate three seconds of screentime I love him. This advert is... wow. Going on my current list between Cillit Bang (with bloody Neil Burgess, who just couldn't make rent) and Tyrranosaurus Allan.
