So I LOVED the new series last year and I'm super thrilled that Channel 5 are showing the second series so soon after the US (so no spoiler issues).
I've also started watching the old series. I'm up to the third season and am loving it.
It's crap that C5 are using Hagman's death as such a selling point though, although they seem to have reworded the trailers now.

I was a bit unsure when it started - I thought they may rehash some old stories with the new cousins. However I think it is still deliciously implausible at times, but I really got into it. Bungle - I've not seen new trailers - when does it start in UK?

I don't want to say much in case of Spoilers (and I really don't know anything anyways), but with the upcoming storyline surrounding JR's death, I'd love if they brought Kristin Shepard back from the dead, maybe having been locked in an asylum by JR all these years - it's Dallas, anything is possible. The fact that she's Christopher's birth mother would be interesting too. But yes, I'm a big fan.

Love is for pussies and a cameo by Ricky Rudd ( ), Dallas is BACK!
Although it has to be said, Hagman sadly looks and sounds terrible although his gag with the muffins is laugh out loud funny.
Alas poor Larry, a complete and utter legend who will be missed.

Well episode 1 was very enjoyable but I do have a massive problem with a certain scene - you'll know it when you see it, it just seems impossible in the modern digital age that someone can have such a press conference and allow the media to then get a follow up statement from someone else without actually talking to the person concerned.
It just seemed like they decided that it would be better to reveal it in a full room of people instead of anything approaching reality.

In the nicest possible way, could we keep this UK pace, with spoilers in spoiler tags? It's only two hours until it's on TV here.

Actual OMFG, Episode 2 and Judith Light from Who's the Boss? has turned up - if Tony Danza puts in an appearance then I may combust. although according to Wikki she is only 3 years older than Mitch Pileggi who is playing her son

...and Bobby and new Mrs Bobby really must be daft not to see that one coming. although I suspect Mrs Bobby was so out of it at the time that she didnt notice, anyway how long until Emma is also show jumping with John Ross?

Who doesn't love Bobby, but in those jeans he made Southfork more like Crinkley Bottom.

I've been watching the New Dallas with fresh eyes having not seen much of the original series, but I'm loving it. I think series two is off to a cracking start. I didn't really like Rebecca in the last series because she was too wishy washy with her villainy and kept going back and forth about screwing over Christopher but this series she's owning her bitchiness and I love it. Plus, now it looks like she and John Ross are going to form an evil alliance which excites me greatly. I always root for the camp villains.

Has Bobby had a miracle cure of his cancer or have I forgotten something from his embulism thing from the last series curing it?

I think that has been sort of left on the back burner.
Dallas is performing so badly for C5 that they're moving it to 11pm from Tues 19th Feb

I'm really disappointed that Dallas is performing so badly for channel 5. I thought it was a bit of a coup for them to win the rights and show the series the day after the US. I've been really enjoying it as well. I think season 2 is finding its momentum now.

I'm hoping Pamela's eyebrow scar gets a story arch all of it's own.

Since C5 are actually a week behind the US and pushing it to 11pm I'm moving to US pace, so comments about episodes three and four... Some brilliant stuff, with two excellent cliffhangers. Stronger than the first two eps of this series for sure. Great to see Cliff back, and JR having more than one scene in each episode. I'm not quite sure I follow all of the oil drama, and exactly who John Ross is double/triple crossing at any given point (is he currently screwing over JR? I feel like he is but I'm not sure how. Just because he fancies RebeccaPam and thinks she can be an ally?) I read that the ratings are picking up slightly in the US, and both UK and US audiences have relatively big timeshift, so hopefully it'll be recommissioned. Apparently TNT will be showing 12/13 and 14/15 as double bills, too.

Ooh I did not like what Episode 4 did to one of the characters owing to the ending - unless I missed something Cliff slipped him the suicide pill during that hug in the prison and that seemed totally out of character. They have managed to get Bobby and JR spot on but Cliff is a totally different character Although if I'm wrong then he's still acting way out of character.

No, you're right on both counts. I can only presume that a lot has changed in the years between series; after all, the whole Rebecca/Pamela business was really ruthless too. Although not, erm, semi-enforced 'suicide'.

I'm watching Episode 5 and without spoiling anything - is that the quickest that a trial has ever come before a court?
It seems to be about 2 days between the police getting the evidence and the trial starting.
