Well where to start. I was weaned on TV before parents realised it's bad for you. It must be genetic because my 4 hooligan kids reach for the remote before they open their eyes in the morning
I read about the site in the Indy and felt as if I had found my spiritual home, but without the years of trekking through the Himalayas.
What I did in my summer hols... Spent most summers waiting for shows like Robinson Crusoe and White Horses to start, then talked about them for the rest of the day. I have their theme tunes as my ring tones. I love the recognition that flashes across peoples faces when my phone rings.
Loved BB when it first started. Loved is too mild, obsession is nearer the mark. Gave BB2 and 3 a fair crack but the contestants became too knowing and Davina has got on my tits since BB vol.1
Apart from TV I grew up reading Marvel and DC comics and am still convinced I have a hidden super power. Which brings me to my current fave rave. Heroes. And Hiro. Yatta!!
This is my pocket biog but I'm posting it mostly so I can get my avatar up.

Bonjour.
I have come seeking Christmas solace from my slightly-homophobic-family-trying-their-best-not-to-discuss-or-acknowledge-anything-that-the-neighbours-might-think-is-slightly-"deviant" for some witty banter and mild homo-eroticism.
I've been wittering randomly on a few threads so thought I should really come in here and say hello. Hello.
I am mostly a bad homosexual, and may accidentally produce a witty comment once every few months. I do like your banter though; it's a little like the winter snow.

Hello to you Starfury!
Christmas and masked homophobia go hand in hand. In rather the same way Rory and a lewd sex story do. Arf arf.
I feel watching 'The Family Stone' helps combat any ill feeling you may harbour towards your family. It does make you think tough: if only I was deaf, had a hot black boyfriend, Diane Keaton was my Mum and SJP was my sister in law...life would be perfect.
If it's solace from life you seek, the board offers all that and more. Talent shows will never be the same once you have experienced a drunken chatroom on a Saturday night.

My grandparents, who are meant to be in the dark about my sexuality, handed me a bottle of King Billy Ale on Christmas Day. Sectarianism and thinly veiled homophobia/ignorace - I must have been on Santa's naughty list.

My Mum, who constantly clears her throat whenever i reach for something over 5% fat and mentions the slimness of everyone we see on tv - presented me with Galaxy chocolates.
I don't know whenever to be happy or upset because she deems me a 'lost cause'

Yes, it's now at the bottom. I just thought it might be a bit scary for new members, what with all the threads about diets and rimming and what-have-you.

Hello!
I just stumbled across this lovely place, which I think might just be my spiritual home, so I thought I'd say hi!
I'm generally a fan of most things lowculture, especially Hollyoaks, Doctor Who and at the moment Hotel Babylon (Max Beesley= would. Is that wrong?) and spend my days mincing about a bookshop trying to make people buy Valley of the Dolls instead of Anna Karenina. Quite often it works too.

Hi tom! You are very welcome here, although if you are actually the Birdseye botherer podgy satan kid from Hollyoaks, you may not find it all that hospitable.

Thanks everyone! I feel at home already Hi tom! You are very welcome here, although if you are actually the Birdseye botherer podgy satan kid from Hollyoaks, you may not find it all that hospitable. Thankfully I'm not the Birdseye Botherer. However I've been known to terrorise the odd fish finger sandwich when I'm so drunk I don't know whether my name's Tom or not
