I think this is the first year ever that I haven't had an Advent Calendar. I may cry !
I did, however, receive my first Xmas present this weekend past and as I was instructed to open it there and then I am now the proud owner of a Zac Efron calendar. My friends know me so well....

I'm getting a Take That calendar from my best friend. I don't think you ever get too old for such things.

On Saturday I texted my mother and my grandmother to say I didn't have an advent calendar. Now I have four: its like Christmas has come early in the form of cheap chocolate.

Every time the Quality Street Christmas advert comes on, I keep thinking it's an advert for K'nex. Does K'nex even still exist? There was a woman in Tescos earlier telling her two children that they'd have to wait another week before she got them an advent calendar because "they'll be at least a quid cheaper then". It's nice to see the spirit of Christmas has reached the North. Nothing says "spirit of Christmas" like eight old chocolates on December 9th.

i still believe people will still shop at whatever supermarket they have shopped in all year so employing these celebrities is just a waste of money.. alan hansen wont be a million miles near morrisons this yuletide season..

Re: the woman who told her kids to wait a week. Advent calendars were two ppounds cheaper (down from £3 to £1) in Meadowhall yesterday. So only five days to wait kids! Although obviously wherever they live it might be different.

From the Irish Independent: continues ad nauseum...
My kids would be told to fuck right off, frankly.
