Spookily, I've just watched the pilot, because I didn't think it was actually coming here. It looks like it could be good so far.

Jen, you should like this one. I seem to recall you're quite fond of Jensen Ackles. And rightly so: pretty!

Jen, you should like this one. I seem to recall you're quite fond of Jensen Ackles. And rightly so: pretty! YES! I was just about to do a topic on this show. I am so excited about the start of this, I might possibly vomit. As well as the ridiculously beautiful Jensen (playing Dean, the older, wisecracking slutty brother) we have cutey cute Jared Padalecki from Gilmore Girls, playing the reluctant, baby brother Sam, who likes to ignore the bumps in the night to go to uni. Seriously, I've been watching the trailers for months, it looks brilliant. Sunday nights on ITV2 at 9pm, from 22nd January like you said Panda, but they are also doing late night repeats on Monday nights, ITV1, 11pm. Mmmm, brooding.

Are they standing in a river? Some people will do anything to create a bit of atmosphere, won't they?

I think it's like a muddy road. Dirt basically. Subtext!

This is a really really good show - genuinely scary at some points though <s>I actually hid under my covers a few times</s> xx

It airs on The WB in America, if that's what you mean.

There was a lovely ad for this in the Metro this morning, with Jensen and Jared smouldering so hard the paper almost ignited in my hands.

Wasn't the guy on the right in Days of Our Lives? Haha yes, a few years ago- several now probably. He did DOOL then a series on Dark Angel, a stint on Dawsons Creek then a season on Smallville before finally getting his own show. Not that I've been paying attention or anything. Panda, was it an upclose one? I've seen that one, it was on the back of a fold out advert they had for the show in this weeks Heat. I had a very strong desire to put it on my wall before reminding myself that I'm nearly 22 and not 13.

I can only think of Jack's boyfriend with the glasses, but he doesn't look like him.

He was Jen's boyfriend CJ, I think. In the last season, or possibly the penultimate one.
Jen - it was a very close-up one, yes. Something about "scary just got sexy" and some scantily-clad skanks in various "scary costumes" were on the left, and the two hot boys were on the right staring right at me. Sigh.

Jensen Ackles does 'dirty' and 'smouldery' soooooo well.
I have seen quite a few of the episodes and can honestly say that it is a fantastic series. When it was first commissioned they only made 4 or 5 episodes and then the network liked it so much they had to have a 'mid-season break' whilst they made some more.
Brotherly love has never seemed so appealing!

It was the last series too because I remember thinking how stupid it was to spend about 10 episodes getting them together then for the last ever episode they fast forwarded 4 years and forgot all about him. Yep that's the one! "Scary just got sexy" is the tagline in the super hot advert too. I am soooo excited about this starting now. Roll on Sunday!

I love it! Obviously first episodes always have that tedious 'lets introduce the characters and plotline' thing which is always a bit awkward, BUT! I loved how they killed Sam's girlfriend at the end of the first episode- it was a bit out of left field. I love the whole mythology of it, this week being of the Woman In White (an urban legend I was unfamiliar with) I loved the blood splattering on the car window (I let out a huge "EURRRRGGGHHHHH!" at that point) and I loved everything that Dean said. Some of his one liners were ace, my favourite being: Officer: So, fake credit cards, fake name, you got anything that's real? Dean: My boobs. And when they walked passed the FBI agents and Dean nods to them and says "Agent Mulder, Agent Scully" I just loved it! I really look forward to seeing how the boys relationship develops and just what is up with their dad, with lots of gore and mythology fun along the way. Also, Jensen Ackles, with stubble, in leather? HELLO! Although I do think they missed a perfect opportunity for a gratituous shower scene when Dean got all muddy. Roll on "Wendigo" next week!

I loved it when they killed his girlfriend too, those flames were evil! Poor Jared, first he loses Rory to the munchkin man and now his new girlfriend turned into the human torch.
The only thing the shows missing is any form of supporting cast, only Jared & Jensen are in the "Starring" credits bits. They really need some kind of gang to help them out.
I can't wait if next weeks ep is called 'The Wendigo'. It just has to be good, because when Charmed did their take on the Wendigo legend, it was my favourite episode ever - although this was more down to the rubbish makeup and special effects than the plot.

Aww yes, poor wendigo Piper. I've heard that next week's episode is actually quite rubbish, but in all fairness it could just be Jared and Jensen sitting watching paint dry and I'd still watch it. If they were naked, I'd watch it twice.

It was terribly, terribly written ('No chick-flick moment' - oooh, how very post-modern!) but... yes. Those brothers, they are hot. And it reminds me of a Point Horror novel, and I loved those when I was ten, so it's also vaguely comforting. I shall persevere with this.

If they were naked, I'd watch it twice. Just twice? Really? I completely disagree, I thought it was very witty and funny and self aware. There were a few awkward introductions, but that happens in every pilot episode of a show. I'm going to give it a bit more time, but I still think it's fab.

I went to see Brokeback Mountain again last night, and before the film trailers there was an ad for Supernatural. Mmmm, big screen pretty. Although it's a shame they didn't take advantage of the opportunity to have Jensen and Jared do a little Heath-'n'-Jake of their own.

BUMP!
I am resurrecting this thread because I love this show. It's so much more enjoyable than I expected it to be, and the leads are winning.
Last night, when Sam said to Dean, "you're my brother and I would die for you", I suspect my response wasn't meant to be "SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" but it was.
