Response! I think Daddy W knows Sam has abilities, but not necissarily to what extent. I think from the look on Dean's face, he knows something too- I think it will all come up when they reunite with Dad in a few episodes time. I don't think the demon goes for 6 month olds, I think it goes for people with powers. It was after baby Sam when Mama W got in the way, and it would have been after big Sam when Jess got in the way- all these people killed (parents and girlfriends) were done so above the places where the people with powers slept. We will find out something before the end, as they catch up with the demon before the end of the series. I think they may hold some stuff back about Sam's powers, ie why he has them etc until next season though.

I like to think it's because they want to put more extras on. Eric Kripke is apparently very keen to load it with stuff, and I know they were filming with the boys on set recently for it. Freeze frame anyone?

I couldn't disagree more. We find out why the demon killed Jess and Mama Winchester]and the fact that they didn't kill the demon I totally expected, as they don't want to do a buffy, ie one big bad per season . If they had closure on everything, it would leave Season 2 back at square one- except it wouldn't be personal anymore so what, Sam would wave bye and go to college and Dean would go off travelling? It just wouldn't have worked. I think they did total justice to the show, and not just that, but gave an ending that made sense, and gives us a great idea of some of the direction of Season two.

Although! If by some some very tiny chance, The CW decide not to renew it, then having the last shot being of the truck ploughing into them and all 3 Winchesters bloody and (hopefully just) unconcious ending the entire show will cause me to have the most enourmous tantrum the world has ever seen. Re the dvd- America is getting the whole season in September, with lots of interesting extras, but the one I'm most interested in being A day in the life of Jensen and Jared and if we have to wait until part two for those extras I will not be amused.

I just watched the ending. Holy fucking shit. Best. Episode. EVAR. Metallicar! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Dean absolutely pwned this episode. That little gruff "thanks" when Demon!Daddy thanked him for keeping the family together broke my heart - or at least I thought it did, until we got to the point where Dean realised that John was possessed because the real Daddy would have torn him a new one for being careless with the gun, THEN my heart broke all over again. Poor Dean. He needs a hug in the worst possible way.

Yep, it's official- I did actually have an anyerism at Jared Padalecki in nothing but a towel in "Hell House". This show rocks.

He was surprised as he was trying to put itching powder in his trousers! Seriously, that boy has been working out. He's come a long way since Gilmore Girls.

You cannot deny that once-over he gave him. Plus, putting phallic objects in Sam's mouth and photographing him while he slept? Dean is the gayest straight boy ever. My friend texted me today to say that Supernatural has been renewed for a second series. Hurrah!

I don't want to know what goes on inside your head missy! We (yes we are a part of it) have indeed been renewed. YAY! Not a huge surprise, but still good to know. "Hell House" is repeated tonight at 11:50 on ITV2- is it wrong that I'm excited to see the Jared-in-a-towell scene again?

I'll say it again- a plastic spoon is not phallic! You're both sick and wrong! In response to your last question Steve- I would imagine that it is, simply because its such a part of the show. Don't take anything from the press release though- its a carbon copy of the one they released last year to promote the first season.

Sorry to sound dense, has the finale aired here yet? When's the uk airtime? It's on irish telly too but I've still never managed to see more then 2 minutes, which is a pity because I think Jensen Ackles is great. loved him on Dark Angel back in the day..

Ha! Me too! I caught the episode a few weeks ago when she snaps his neck and it made me tres sad. No, we haven't finished here yet- episode 18 "Something Wicked" is on tomorrow night, 9pm. The first part of the dvd is out on Monday though.

That is genius. I love the ball of angst. "Angst never sleeps". Genius. Although to be fair to Sam, his girlfriend did die on his ceiling mere months ago, I think he is allowed some angst. I think Dean's is bigger, just better hidden. His ball that is. Of Angst. Pfff! I think piggy back rides is clearly the only way to go. I get the feeling they may do a bus thing for a while though, like one episode before Dean implodes. Although being as they have 5 Impalas on set, I doubt they are that keen to write it off. Oh, and out of detached interest- there is a picture there, a userpic of "towels are evil" with a picture of both of them. Does this mean that Dean is towelbound or was that another show?

I much preferred him as the wise ass in season 2, especially when he became Monty Cora the boxer and Max had to beat the shit out of him in front of everyone. there endeth the dark angel geek memories.

As I understand it, that picture of Jensen is from Dark Angel, not Supernatural. As far as I can remember, the only time we've seen Dean in a towel (down, fangirls! down!) was in 'Bugs' when he was trying out the power shower in the housing development and was wearing a towel turban when he answered the door to Sam. And yes, I do enjoy being the resident expert on Scenes On Supernatural Involving Towel-Clad Winchesters, thanks. In other news, every single copy of the DVD that I've seen so far has a price sticker over Dean's face. I was offended at first until I realised that this meant that only I am permitted to gaze upon the Ackles.

Hang on, there were episodes after she snapped his neck?! He was a regular for season 2! In the first episode of season 2, Max is introduced to her manticore "breeding partner" who is a twin on Ben's. the character is a lot sarkier and likeable though. If you have'nt seen season 2 of DA I recommend you do. Jensen Ackles features regularly (and in keeping with the theme here, clad only in a towel in one episode) and it's ten times more pacier and interesting then the first season. The final episode, directed by James Cameron is an absolutely and a piece of "telly done exactly like a movie" to rival the best of Alias or Lost..

How brilliant was Dead Mans Blood? Oh very. Just a complete pinnacle of the series so far. Also! Jared is apparently in London at the moment doing promotion, so keep your eyes peeled. I haven't seen him on anything as yet- he'd better not be doing GMTV tomorrow, I really don't want to get up that bloody early!

I'm getting really annoyed about this, because I don't have ITV2 and ITV1 are buggering up their continuation of this to show pointless world cup previews/highlights/extra-extra-analysis. I'm only up to the evil painting but there was no river of slime episode - everyone's going to get the ending about a month before me (and other unfortunate undigitilised souls). Sad face.
