Booo at Friday, unless you end up at Popstarz where I will be djing. It'll be at Sin in Soho That's quite a good idea for the end of the night, possibly, for those who would like to go for a dance.

Right so recap.
Friday the 29th of February, something is happening. At some gay-bar, probably in London's fashionable and dingy west end. Myself and Greg will be in attendance, and possibly Adrian and Coxy. But not jode. If the prospect of that meeting of minds was not enticing enough, we may then be drunkenly going to Popstarz (with a zee) to harrass trixy.
But I'm vetoing G*A*Y (and associated bar) right now.
So if you don't want to be left out of the most exciting night of the year* post now.
*It may just be me and Greg getting drunk in a gutter in Soho. But in it's own way this is exciting.

Can we name the event, like a late night spin-off of Hollyoaks?
'Lowculture: On The Lash' is a possibility

Can I put myself down as a 'perhaps', depending on work...?

I shall attend as token girl if someone remembers to remind me nearer the time.

I may have missed some important information from Pages 1-4 (and am too hungover to read) but a Lowculture meet up + gay venue + drinking sounds rather appealing to me. Count me in if it's not too late!
Please no Good As You, it makes me feel quite sick.

I can guestlist people for what it's worth.
However if I find out anyone has been in a G-A-Y venue first, I shall make sure you are flogged (and not in a good way!)

Oh I'm boycotting GAY as well at the moment....
Great minds etc

One has to boycott GAY? I thought not attending it was the default....
Will Popstarz be in the new venue by then? In the Scala it makes me horribly depressed every time.

But without a Corrie cast house band.
The sacrifices we make.

Given that it's a couple of weeks away, it's probably a good idea to resurrect this thread to see if it's still going ahead.
Dontcha think?

Yeah, why not, I'll come too! So is it going to be an indie music weight watcher meeting? I would go, but that was the night I had planned to go to G-A-Y bar and eat lots of cake while watching old Scooch videos. Be sure to put photos up and let us know who has sex.

Well I am going to Popstarz that night anyway, so I could hardly claim to be busy - you all would have seen me!

I can still make it, and as per usual, I'm already worrying about getting drunk and everyone thinking I'm an annoying dullard.
Yay!!

Oh! Erk! 29th Feb is my last day at work so I'll be obliged to hang out with those dullards. Hrmph. I may stagger along afterwards. I'd like to come. So long as you tell me where you actually are.

Be sure to put photos up and let us know who has sex. I can see a 'two birds, one stone' scenario arising there. I'm seeing Robyn in Edinburgh that night. On the plus side, most of you have never met me, and can therefore take comfort in having no idea what you're missing.

I will know what shift I'm working after the weekend, so if I don't finish too late, I will do my best to pop along.
Having not been to one of these get-togethers before, how do we identify each other at the venue? Does someone hold up an umbrella?

I shall come, I'm pretty sure I'm free that weekend. Other people should come, Adrian, you can come, you live in London. Other Greg, you can come, you live in London.
As for identifying... we could give you numbers so you can text/call us.

Oh! Erk! 29th Feb is my last day at work so I'll be obliged to hang out with those dullards. OT, but - Joel! Is this the miserable civil service job where you didn't dare take time off sick? If so, hurrah! I hope you're moving on to something bigger and better where you're allowed to get ill.

Also: ditch 'em on the last day. Have a drink in the office, make it last until 6, then say you're out, and swan out.

Indeed. If you've always hated the job, say you have a pressing engagement, and then come and meet me, adrian and Steven who will happilly make you feel better by complaining about the jobs we're still in.
