Also: ditch 'em on the last day. Have a drink in the office, make it last until 6, then say you're out, and swan out. Does that mean you're coming Adrian?

That's later on though. We could all go! It's very lowcultural.

I am indeed escaping the horrible civil service job. I am going to work on medical journals, where I get to look at psoriasis-covered penises among other things.
I'd certainly rather come out with you folks - given that the only people I like from work are both signed off long term sick. Maybe I'll do a lunch thing with work instead. Hmm.

Well, I don't finish work on 29th til 9.45pm (work have conveniently given me the latest shift possible on that day). Will that be too late to head along?

_Um does anyone work for tfl?_
My friend does. She's 'fast track'.

A man I shagged once does / did. All I know remember of him is that he couldn't drink much or take drugs. He was pissed out of it when I met him, mind.

So should it be a homosexual establishment?
We could go to the Village, it has quite a lot of space. Any other suggestions?

I'm not too fond of the Village just because I object to paying to get in, but as long as it's not Profile or Freedom I'll tolerate most places.

I would come to this, but i would be the annoying non-drinker in the corner waiting for Girls Aloud to be played.

Oh no, you're right, everywhere will be the same. The Yard is always fairly good in terms of space, but isn't particularly fun.
We need someone to arrive at like 4 o'clock and lay claim to seats.

Hmm, I do like the Yard... And it's free isn't it. Don't they have the dancing men at Village on Fridays?

I don't think many places charge earlier in the night.
I went to the Yard on a Friday evening for my birthday recently. Got there for 8, and there was room enough for 20 or so people.
If we're wanting lowcultural pop, somewhere like Ku Bar would be better. The Village just plays upbeat dancey music.
Freedom is, apparently, getting much better also.
Also there is Duke of Wellington. Admittedly it's a bit spit+sawdust but there is blatant pop music.

New Ku Bar might be a good idea. Yeh, I think places start charging at 8 or something, I'm not sure.

Duke of Wellington is good, and has just been tarted up quite nicely. I can be found in the Yard most evenings anyway, so at least I wouldn't have to vary my pattern.

I find it hard to believe Freedom is getting better. I've never seen a place so up its own arse for so little reason.
My vote is for The Yard, and I nominate people who aren't me to get there early enough to sit down, or at least to have a bit of wall to lean against.

Well, Paul seems to be in favour of the Yard, as does Joel, and I like it, so shall we say the Yard? Now... time?

It would be nice to get some space to sit down/lean. If someone who doesn't have a job or anything better to do could look into spending half the afternoon in there that'd be helpful.
