Yard sounds good.
How about nine?

See, I finish work in the City at 9.45, so I would probably get to Soho and find this Yard about 10.15 (assuming it's easy to find), but I'm not a Londoner and my last train home from Waterloo is at 11.40, so I'd only be able to stay maybe an hour at the most. I think I may have to decide what I feel like on the day.
If someone who is definitely going to be there could PM me a mobile number, though, I would be most grateful. And maybe confirm the location of this Yard.
I wish I lived in London.

I'll be around from about 7 if anyone feels like GETTING THEIR BLOODY ACT TOGETHER A BIT EARLIER.

I'll be around from about 7 if anyone feels like GETTING THEIR BLOODY ACT TOGETHER A BIT EARLIER. Well that's more bloody like it! I'll bugger off from my leaving drinks and try and be there by 8 or so.

Ooooh - you're all very keen.
As I'm the boss this week, I'll finish early and go home and be back in town by 7/8.
I also have someone's leaving drinks on Friday, but I quite frankly can't be arsed.

I'm glad you aren't my boss. You really know how to show you care.
I'll probably be there about 8. Should give me enough time to get some tea so I don't get hideously drunk.

I finish work at 5.30. I start drinking at 4.30. I'll be there by 6.15. Or 7, so I can get some food.
Cherubic, I hope your tea will be served in a fine bone china cup.

No it will be served on a potato probably. Sophisticated like. And I apoligise in advance to whomever gets me in the sex sweepstake. You will not win.

This will be fully covered in camera phone form on the Facebook page won't it, for those of us who are London-challenged?

Oh, I shan't be shagging anyone. And I shy away from cameras like a vampire from a cross. I will sponsor someone to seduce Joel. Anything up to the cost of one drinks worth of seduction. Like a budget 10 Thing I Hate About You.

Right! I will take charge, since you are all fucking useless.
The first people (ie me) will gather in The Yard at 7 (ie 7.30, as I am always, always late). Official start time is 8.30. Anyone who rocks up after 10pm can take their chances, as everyone will probably have gone by then.
Nobody shags anybody without consulting me first for my blessing (and/or to laugh at the hilarious combinations).
Popstarz after, unless the queue is wretched, in which case G-A-Y for Michelle Gayle.
No arguments, or I'll quite happily delete your account.
Love and hugz.

Nobody shags anybody without consulting me first for my blessing (and/or to laugh at the hilarious combinations). Are we going to start some sort of cult thing like the Moonies, where our leader chooses our partners for us? The two straight men on here (approximately. I can only think of The Moog right now but I assume there are more. Or at least one more.) will have a lot of girls available for Paul to choose from. Please sneak a camera in for the rest of us! If you get karaoke-level drunk, Cherubic does a mean Barbara Dickson if someone will be his Elaine Page.

I don't think many places charge earlier in the night. I went to the Yard on a Friday evening for my birthday recently. Got there for 8, and there was room enough for 20 or so people. If we're wanting lowcultural pop, somewhere like Ku Bar would be better. The Village just plays upbeat dancey music. Freedom is, apparently, getting much better also. Also there is Duke of Wellington. Admittedly it's a bit spit+sawdust but there is blatant pop music. It's been a very long time since I went out gaying - reading this is like trying to read old English. From thirty feet away. Without my glasses. However! I will try to pop along as well. I'll be the one in the corner looking at his watch a lot and wondering at what point it will no longer be rude to make my excuses and go home to watch American Idol.

Hurrah, come to the Yard on Friday evening at 7.30. That's all you need to know.
You may be the only woman (in our company) but that just makes it so much more fun.

I might come if I'm allowed. It's my birthday on Saturday so I'll almost certainly be out in Soho, and probably (hopefully) at Popstarz, and may or may not be already slightly drunk and depressed about it being the final eve of my teens)*.
*If the fact that I turn 20 on Saturday makes everyone hate me you can pretend I'm 40 (but with Baggott cream) instead.
