Am slightly puzzled why his dancing prowess is being stressed if he's playing Zach. Although it is quite funny that he is playing a character of that name.
Edit: Ooh, interesting, looking at the photos. I've never seen a production of A Chorus Line where Zach was on stage for more than about ten minutes in total.

Letitia Dean in High School Musical: The West End Musical. (Is Hammersmith "West End"?)
I've not joined the HSM bandwagon, but this might get me on it. She's playing Miss Darbus by the way, from June.

I saw Gone With The Wind today! The stage broke down, which had me and my sister in fits of giggles for about half an hour, but it really was very good all in all, and Darius was surprisingly charismatic. Trevor Nunn sat at the back of the auditorium writing on his script with a pen with a light on the end.

ASSISTANCE NEEDED: Evita is hitting the Liverpool Empire next month. As a huge fan of the film, I'd love to see it onstage (so long as I can remember not to sing along, especially as I do all the voices during Dangerous Jade). However, Seamus from Any Dream Will Do is playing Che, and I feel that supporting his career by buying a ticket would violate my principle of not paying money to see cunts. Should I swallow my pride, and just put Antonio Banderas on my iPod during "Oh, What a Circus"?

The Che wasn't someone I'd heard of but was perfectly suitable and it's so absorbing and fantastic that I'm sure you'll forget it's Seamus after the first few seconds. The only thing that disappointed me was the chorus on Rainbow High. The EYES NOSE LIPS KNICKERS FACE DIAMONDS VIOLENCE AND TWIGLETS bits were too quiet. Go and see it and live the moment.

Go. You know you want to. It's a great production. I'm going up to Manchester to see it in June, so you should go first and give us your review.

I'd love to go and see 'Evita'. No sign of a Scottish date so far. However, I spotted we were getting a new version of this, with that famous 'jabber' Marti Pellow.

Oh lordy, I saw WoE in the West End in 2000 and I have to say that apart from one number in the 2nd act it was not a good night.
Still Lovejoy was playing the devil and Sarah from "I'd do Anything" was also in it and whilst outside I saw the bloke who was in the square crisps ads at the time so not a totally wasted evening.

My boyfriend went on Monday, and did not report a stage breakdown. He did report that Darius was very good, but that it really does feel like 4 hours long.

Just when lowculturers are there, I think. We were at the front of the stalls, so we heard the mechanism snap and the stagehand say, "Shit!" It was v funny.

I'm quite intrigued as to what Tovah Feldshuh's Golda's Balcony will be like, if only for the fact that she's the spit of my grandmother.

Valerie Harper originated this on (or off) Broadway and it was to be made into a film. From what I heard it turned into a recorded version of the stage show rather than an actual movie.

I saw Equus today. It was good, albeit a bit odd. All the cast were great, apart from the girl who plays Jill. Alfie Allen was a real surprise.

2 very good things happening at the Shaw Theatre in London over the summer.
Elaine Stritch is back (aged 82) with her 'At Liberty' show.
And Jim Bailey, world famous female impersonator is doing his Judy Garland show. He's probably best known for his Barbra Streisand and in fact was sent by Streisand to pick up an award for her. When asked what Liza thought of his Judy impression, he said, 'She told me that if I stop performing Judy Garland, how would she ever see her mother again?' I think that says more about Liza than his impersonation though!

I saw Small Changes at the Donmar Warehouse tonight. It stars lowculture icons Sue Johnston & Lindsey Coulsen. It also stars a man - I was sure he was Ianto from Torchwood, but he wasn't - who wears very tight trousers.

Someone has just called Gone with the Wind "the worst piece of theatre I have ever seen" on newsnight review. The other two liked it even less.

It isn't the worst piece of theatre ever. We Will Rock You is far worse.
In other news, Kris Marshall has been hit by a car and is in intensive care, which is obviously terrible, but it also implies that he won't be in the La Bute play when I go and see it next month.

Can I draw your attention to the sponsored ad. I want to go to Arts Camp Ballibay.
Although I'm not sure what horses have to do with the rest of what's on offer.

They've also spelt "Theatre" incorrectly.
